Needs lots of tender loving care.....
This place was in very poor condition; especially considering a $100 rate.....! Very dried out fairways. Greens were OK, and fairway staff were very nice/accommodating, but the track needs some water and fertilizer!! I'd look elsewhere...there are plenty of options!
Overall nice course. Wide open from tee to green. Greens were a bit of a mess and a unreadable. Staff was great and very friendly
What a joke!!
this course is a total joke... 1 inch of water of fairways. THEY DONT HAVE A MOWER!
fairways had 2 inches of grass.. you will lose 2 balls every hole hit it in the middle and still lose your ball.. Its literally like hitting a ball into the jungle and guessing.
tee box was nice layout was cool but after 8 i could only drive the cart around looking at scenery.. you cant play it loll
Golfing in Hawaii
Course lay out was good Tee boxes very hard to get Tee in the ground made it hard teeing off. Staff was very good and offered good tips. For the value I would ply again
Olamana Exoerience
Great course except very wet and muddy, no carts on course made for a very long round. Staff very friendly and helpful, I stepped into mud pond up to my ankle and the marshal brought me out a bucket of water & rag to wash off my foot and shoe.
Poor Course Conditions
Fairways wet and greens in poor shape. Pace of play slow
Good bang for your buck!
Good course. Right price for a non resident staying on the east side of Oahu. Greens were a good speed. Played the course 3 times in a week. :)
Good value
We booked through GolfNow and the price was very reasonable. The area had severe rain the day before so when we called the morning of our tee time we were just happy they were open. Hole 14 was closed due to flooding and other fairways had standing water but overall it was in pretty good shape considering. Staff was great, great scenic views of the surrounding mountains and a quick pace of play. No beverage cart but all-in-all it was worth the green fee!
Fun
It is to interesting for us
And very nice price
I had good time thank you
We felt very nature and restaurant is very delicious
Thank you.
Fun & Challenging
We loved this course - played 36 holes & had a blast! Very friendly & helpful staff.
Course Under Repair
Overall a nice course. Great views of surrounding landscape. Friendly staff. Only complaint was some of the course that was being refurbished and under repair during play. All water hazards were non existent, water drained out and dug up. Part of the course was taped off due to repair. The course was just watered right before our round so it was really wet during play. I think they must be refurbishing the course because it was in severe repair. Usually GolfNow advises of such things but we were given no warning about these repairs when we booked tee time. Course maintenance workers were also maintaining the course during play, walking on the greens fertilizing the green while you were trying chip on green or trying to putt. They couldn't even wait for you to finish your business on the green first. Lawn mowers going off right next to you while teeing off. No golf etiquette whatsoever. Despite these set backs I still had a great time.
STAY AWAY !!!
I read the reviews on golfnow before making this one of the five that I played this week. I'm not sure what these golfers are used to but this course should be closed for repsirs. The fairway didn't exist on some holes, MAJOR PROBLEMS !!! Some greens were decent and the layout was not that bad. The two major problems are the cost and the grouping. For the condition of the course NO ONE should pay over $30 to play this course. There was a group of nine, nope not four players then five players, All nine teeing off and a group of six much further ahead of me. I'm just trying to warn you like I wish someone would have done for me.
A walk in the Country
I forgot how much fun this course is. From the great staff in the pro shop to the excellent short game and range facility a great experience.
Gotta think your way around the front while the back is "let's get some birdies". Can't believe it took me this long to come back. Great improvements with new management and ownership.
Excellent conditioning great scenery and strategy to the course. Really fun time all the way around.
Course Improvements
A year ago this course was a mess. They have done a lot of work in improving the fairways. the ground is very hard and the grass is splotchy at best.
Needs work
Olomana needs a lot
Of work. Drainage is the issue. Only
Half of the course was open and when it is open to all 18 it still needs work.
If it was $20 to play it would be worth it. Anyone and I will just go to another course.
Love the views and the greens are great and employees are amazing. but everything else needs help.
Golf on the Fourth!
Fantastic round of golf on Independence Day, the course was not very busy, despite being a federal holiday and a Saturday. Played in the morning starting at 0800 and finished by 1100 even with a slight back-up near the last two holes. Conditions on the course were outstanding, Pacific Links has done some needed work on the fairways and you can tell they are spending money to improve the course. The restaurant upstairs from the pro shop has some great views of the course and the staff is great. If you come to Oahu, play this course, it is worth the short drive from Waikiki for the views and the course.
Course shows improvements
Greens and bunkers on the whole are good and improving, need a little more sand and drag. Fairways are showing work to improve, eliminating most major dips, still have a way to go with seeding. Tee boxes were generally hard, but this is after several days of extreme heat.
I consider this my "home course" - play on average about once a week, 9 hole practice for league play at other similar courses. Has nice variety of challenges.
Paired with junior girl golfer that was fun to watch and a cut or two above my game.
