Conestoga Golf Club
About
Located about an hour northeast of Las Vegas, Conestoga Golf Course tumbles across the desert canyons and arroyos of Mesquite. Gary Panks, the course's designer, wanted to create a course that looked as though it had been forged over time by nature. By utilizing the desert landscaping and natural washes, the result was a stunning layout that is as scenic as it is challenging. The rolling topography covers a range of elevation changes, providing not only tricky uneven lies but also views of the surrounding canyons. The course is enhanced even further with interesting rock outcroppings that are interspersed across the landscape and several different water features. In addition to the natural hazards, Panks incorporated over 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout Conestoga Golf Course. It is formidable, but the course has five sets of tees to accommodate a wide range of skill levels.

course has great features
had a great time at the course conditions were
good and the weather was great.
Very nice!
First time playing this course and played 18 holes in overcast conditions in about 4 hours. My bother and I were paired with a couple of great golfers from WA state and we had a wonderful time.
Found the course challenging but fair. The greens were in very good condition and were pretty easy to read. Most tee shots had plenty of room to spray it a bit from the tips.
Considering the great rate we got, it was a perfect round!
Conestoga in December!
Weather was a little chilly!! Greens were great. Fairways were a little rough on the back 9. Scenery and views were incredible.
Fun & Challenging Course
Have played Conestoga 4-5 times recently due to terrific fee hot deals from GolfNow. Besides loving 80% discounts, I really enjoy this magnificent course. From the excellent practice facility to the beautiful desert vistas, Conestoga is 1st rate. The course is challenging but fair. Probably not a good course for a hacker as it demands to keep balls in play. The waste areas equal lost balls. For decent golfers this course is a gem.
challenging but fair
Do not need to be long hitter to score but accuracy is rewarded. Greens in great shape, bit firm but played in afternoon so probably dried out during the day.
One of the better courses in Mesquite.
Conestoga
First time playing this course. My only problem was lack of adequate number of yardage markers. I highly recommend carrying a range finder. The second day I downloaded their free app. That made it much easier to make correct club choice.
Awesome Golf!
First time in Mesquite...Excellent weather and Excellent golf! Some holes very challenging due to the fact you could not see over the rocks...I was very pleased (sometimes) coming over the rocks and seeing my ball was well placed for the next shot...sometimes not so pleased. But GORGEOUS course.
SLow Play
Tee time was at 1:10. Got out on time but pace of play was so slow that we could not finish the last 4 holes due to darkness. Waited for people on every shot. Need to advertise that if you obtain a tee time after 12:00, that you will not be able to finish 18 holes this time of year due to how slow it plays
If this course would speed up the pace of people, it would play much better.
Scenic
Good course in good condition. Good views. Varied hole challenges. Overall a course worth playing.
Challenging course but slow pace of play
Challenging and beautiful course. It took us 4 hours to finish 13 holes and finally gave up because it was cold and windy. We started at 11:30 and at that pace of play would not have finished by dark. We talked to Marshall and he said there was a slow group and he could not do anything about it.
Staff
Allen, your starter person was very helpful organizing the persons off #1 so as not to wait too long.
Course is in beautiful shape.
Beauty and the beast
Totally enjoyed the couple we golfed with; thank goodness they're locals.
Miss the gps on the cart.
Golfed twilight so didn't get to enjoy the 19th hole.
Conestoga First Timer
Wow! That about sums it up. Great views. Great course. Great staff!
I am a low 80's golfer on my local courses, but this course was very tough for me, particularly since I had never played it before and you never knew what was around that rock or below that drop.
I didn't break 100 and I lost about 4 balls, but it was well worth the trip. It's expensive and I probably won't be a regular, but I know I have to try it one or two more times since I am a little more familiar with it.
It's a bucket list course, for sure.
A very interesting desert course.
This course features canyons and links style holes.
Men who are playing this course for the first time should play from the Copper Tees, even if the yardage seems short.
beautiful views
was very suprised by this courses great scenery and the condition and challenge it presented
Challenging Conestoga
This course is not for beginners! The front nine is extremely challenging with numerous sand bunkers and canyon landscape. The back nine is a little more forgiving. The practice facilities are exceptional and the course is in terrific shape. I would not be able to afford this course except for the great deal I found on Golf Now. I love this web site.
Wonderful people at a spectacular design
This was my first drive from the Vegas Strip to Mesquite for the golf I've always heard about and I'm not sure if I just had the perfect day or now need to do this every trip. First, the employees were outstanding in being both helpful and genuinely friendly. The course itself is not easy at all (especially for first timers), but I really appreciate the design in how it uses the natural landscape, especially on the Par 3s. Honestly, the last time I took this many on-course pictures was in New Mexico at Black Mesa and Paa-Ko Ridge, which are similarly jaw-dropping.
Not only was the course in excellent condition, but cart paths are all well-maintained for a smooth ride despite the trip through the canyons. Conestoga was definitely the highlight of my most recent trip to Las Vegas.
Worth the money
Challenging but mostly fair. Has a couple blind shots that are awkward. The greens were slow from the over seeding. Several of the flag sticks were missing the reflectors for laser distance units which resulted in incorrect club selection.
great time
Very scenic and challenging. Have a great time playing here
Nice Layout
Overall a nice course, with some challenging holes. The course seemed dry and the greens are slow, maybe because the over seeding that was done a few weeks ago. Once the grass thickens up around the greens and fairways, it should be in better shape.
