still a great place to kick it around
Wife and I played an evening 9 here the other day. We used to play here quite bit but hadn't for some reason in a couple of years. Glad we did, it was nice.
RH is a small quaint rural locals type course. Very friendly. Scenic, and wildlife as well as farm animals can be seen. The stream is pretty.
Yes, a couple of the tee boxes could use some updating. I agree with that. Who likes mats in July? Or ever for that matter?.
The 2 par fives are quirky 90* doglegs off the tee. If your good you can get a drive up over the trees and reach in two. I play them conservative now , with a short iron off the tee, but not years ago, but there are many boxes of my balls in those woods from those days of bravado.
A driver, or really any fairway wood, is not required here. You can get around just fine with something around 230 and down.
The greens are straight up without apt of undulation, spongy and pretty slow but nicely maintained.
It is a great place for a fun evening , a buddy and some brews or whatever. Play 9 here for a warm up to a full round at Stone Creek?
There are good golfers here and bad golfers. A good mix. The pace can be slow but usually very fast.
The owners and staff have always been very friendly and this has not changed. The covered bridge is cool. The walk up the steps on two of the tees ( #3 and 5 )is tough for us old and not athletic. There is one fairly short but steep hill to climb to the green as well ( #4) , if walking is tuff , you might want a cart. The rest of the course is pretty flat.
They seem to have neatened it up some, the trees, and rough area's much tidier than we remembered.
Now, for those teeing area's perhaps !?!
get some beers and have fun !
Fun course
Flat out fun course. So much more interesting than the standard back and forth courses.
Great setting in nature w/ natural river, big trees, etc. Lots of short par 4's and interesting short par 5s. Nice elevation changes, but still very walkable.
Tough crowned greens that demand accuracy. Course in good shape.
Fun Course
Great course to play with family or friends. There are holes that challenge players of every level.
Good outing
The course is kept in reasonable condition. The greens are not very fast but OK. The course has an unusual layout along a creek and creates some challenging holes. Just nine holes but good for a late afternoon outing.
Day in the country
Had a great timed and the course was in fine shape. felt the Golf Now charges high as they were over 1/3 ot the total cost.
Nice, well maintained short course
I enjoyed the course - elevated tees were unusual and interesting. The par fives were interesting and required accurate first shots. Most holes were somewhat shorter than the usual course layout. Of course the covered bridge is the highlight.
Beautiful way to spend an afteroon
Aside from the fact that the greens were aerated during our round, the course was in great condition. We always love the surroundings and the atmosphere at this course. We played a laid back round and didn't feel like we were pushed once. The staff is always super friendly and we love coming here for a nice relaxing round!
scenic riverside
very friendly staff and locals; never played around a covered bridge before
this course has great features.
the dome shaped greens were in good shape.the course was in greet shape.
Nice ,country walk
Great for couples. Relax enjoy the countryside.
Friendly staff. Bring your own hydration . Pop machine broke and no water to drink.
Nice greens.
Great hidden gem
Fun and challenging course hidden away in Mulino. Easy play in the winter too
Surprising Rural Course
I read good reviews here and captured a good deal so I thought I would give this course a try.
Excellent groundskeeping.
Crossing the stream (which was a very healthy and large on the stream side) several times was an excellent experience.
It seems the stream was always present on nearly every hole.
Great greens, great fairways.
You know, you can bring drivers out here no problem, there were some really long holes and I brought only a hybrid.
Play this course if you are local, you will really like it.
River Crossings
Nice 9 holes course. Not a great golfer, so was challenging for me. Crossing the Mollala River a couple of times. Very friendly people. Good pricing.
Great scenery
Beautiful surroundings. Very scenic. Greens had a few rough spots.staff very accommodating
Charming and delightful Golf Course
If you have not gone out on a leisure Sunday AM and played a round of golf in awhile; or if you just need a place where golf, peace, and pure fun can happen all at once.. you need to head out to Ranch Hills Golf Course! The course was beautiful, quaint, charming and believe it or not it was relaxing.. Not often can a golfer say that golf was actually relaxing.. go play the ranch you will find your inner peace for golf once again.. and by the way you will love the course and its simple charms!
Tee time
I enjoyed the course, great for a beginner just starting out., It was good for me because I'm just getting back into golf after 20 years of not playing.
great course!
Regular at this course! Great course for any level. Has a covered bridge, 2 tee offs go over the creek, great staff.
Laid Back Golf
Not crowded, was able enjoy a relaxed 9 holes of golf, no one in front holding us up, nor was anyone right behind us pushing us. Greens in decent shape, the water hazard is an actual stream/creek, that splits the course. Several dog legs that the water plays into. Overall a fun 9 hole course.
Hidden gem
Great 9 hole course. Not difficult but a great place for beginners or a great place to shore up your iron game. Course has features you won't find anywhere else which makes it so fun.
