Bring your A game
Fantastic course with challenging but usually not outrageous greens, but brutal rough if you stray off the fairways. Course can be quite deceptive visually and after two rounds, still think a fair amount of local knowledge is needed to score well.
Holes are quite varied with the front 9 generally flat (except the 1st hole) and most of the back 9 on hillier terrain. Short par 4s on each nine (6 and 14). Plenty of doglegs, both real and manufactured with bunker placement.
Course is private, but does offer on-site stay and play packages. Food in the clubhouse was quite good. Can’t say enough about the warm welcome we received from all of the club’s staff.
New 9 hole par 3 course is outstanding. Only open since Labor Day and greens putt like they’ve been there for years. Good wedge game challenge with varied tee locations for most holes and greens divided into multiple tiers through use of ridges and bowls.
Hidden Gem
Traveling cross country looking for nice course to break up drive.
Kevin, Head Pro, very informative and accommodative on phone night prior.
Showed up next AM and was greeted as we were members.
Practice facility awesome. New Zoysia fairways, no bad lies! Great layout w doglegs, varied length par 3s. Slick, but fair undulating greens.
Beautiful, piece of ground. Golf course, nice homes, terrain work in harmony!
This would be top course in most big city markets, so to play in beautiful Kentucky countryside, awesome!
We will be back!
Top notch!
It poured rain in the morning so we weren't sure we'd be able to play, but we actually were the first ones out after the rain and they still let us ride on the fairway's so it was a dream to just play at our pace.
The holes play just the right distance for the appropriate handicap and the holes are just excellent.
The course is very interesting and a pleasure to play and really top of the line in maintenance, layout, and condition. If you get the chance to play it - do!
What a treat!
This course was one of my top 5 courses in my golf history. Tight zoysia fairways, bent tees and greens were stellar! The practice tee was the best I've seen. They had alignment sticks and several target greens. The layout of the course was incredible. Every hole was unique and had beautiful looks. The short par 3's were compensated with tough, undulating greens. Most of the difficulty comes from lush roughs and require accurate shots to the greens. This is a private course, but if you get a chance to pay with a member...do it!
