About
Located in the small community of Wellington, Wellington National Golf Club (previously known as Binks Forest Golf Club) offers a tranquil forest setting that is more reminiscent of a North Carolina course than a Florida course. After opening in 1990 to much acclaim, the course unfortunately suffered from poor management and closed for a period of time but successfully reopened in 2007 with a newly renovated 18-hole golf course.
The layout is tight and thanks to the abundant trees, very narrow at some spots. Mature pines line the narrow fairways and the greens roll fast and true. The course thoughtfully incorporates the terrain, utilizing the natural elevation changes and water features. The bunkers were strategically placed to make you really strategize your club selection and target. One of the most appealing aspects of the course is that it can truly accommodate all different skill levels with yardages ranging from 5,268 to 7,253.

Course has character but needs grooming
Third time playing this course and always a good time. Staff is super friendly and course as fun holes. A few water hazards, not a lot of elevation but still fun. Pretty narrow fairways which is challenging. It's a recommended play in the area, especially at the rate.
This course needs lots of work
The fairways are hard pan. You can get more distance keeping the ball on the ground. The grass on fairways is sparse. Very little grass on the aprons. The course is very scenic.
course was a nice layout but they airated front nine
in the middle of the peak of golf season for Florida to airate the course just made the front 9 no fun.
layout of course was nice and some pretty holes, but the airated front 9 give me the thumbs down on this course.
Blinks Forest GC
The greens were very good but the fairways leave much to be desired - lots of thin spots and bare spots. This could be a beautiful course.

If conditions remain the same, I would not ever play there again
this course needs a big time manicure
Been playing the course over the last 10 years and it is in the worst shape ever for the exception of the bunkers. Weeds are all over the fairways with very little grass and the greens have bad growth and are not close to what they used to be. Driving range is like a landfill...and absolutely horrible.
Fun course to play
The pace was a bit slow in the first nine holes because there was no marshal to tell the slow golfers to pick up the pace. It got better when a group of golfers ahead of us finished after nine holes. The greens were in good shape and very fast. Overall it was a fun course to play.
Poor condition
Vero slow game, the first 9 holes took 2.45
The first 4 holes need rebuilding, the restof the course was partially under rekonstruktiot, Poor fareways
The course is challenging
I always enjoy playing on this course. It forces you to play under control. Excellent conditions

Course was in good shape. Just a couple slow groups. Greens were in good shape
Great layout
Although it contains a lot of sand it was not a problem if you can place your shots. Fairways and greens can use some improvement. Due to the dry conditions, the greens were very fast. I will return.

Good narrow layout
This is a narrow simple layout that takes you through forest, homes and busy roads. It is fairly easy but narrow. Fairways are on the thin side and somewhat hardpan. Greens roll fast but are fragile and you will leave deep ballmarks. Tee boxes are on the rough side but playable. For the average 10+ handicapper, it is a good layout. Recommendation would come with a warning that the course conditions are far from optimal but better than the last few years.

They had a friendly staff and the course was nice for the price. Great pace and overall enjoyable

Staff was outstanding and friendly. Treated our group as if we were "members".
Course was in only fair condition and played slow. Only saw refreshment cart once during almost 5 hour round.
First timer
Course layout was very good, condition of the course was average, greens were rough, not true and looked like there was a fungus on many of them, could be the amount of rain we hav had but the greens need work. Staff was very friendly, I would like to return to play again but only I'd the greens are worked on.
Great course
The course was in very good shape, with the layout fair but challenging. Will definitely come back. There is water but lost balls are kept to a minimum.
The location of the sandtraps in fairways are placed very strategically
The course was challenging, course is maintained well. Good value for your money. Enjoyed playing and will play it again.
Special golf course.Too many sand traps
This golf course is a good chalenge with all these sand traps. Very nice houses around the golf course The greens are fast..
Improved
I play this course regularly because of the unique layout and it has improved a lot starting with the fairways and tee boxes. Greens have always been good and was running fast. Food is excellent and service is friendly. Great value.
