Turner Valley GC

Continuing along the "Cowboy Trail" and nestled between the communities of Turner Valley and Black Diamond is the Turner Valley Golf Club.

According to the scorecard it can play from 4167 yards from the forward tees and stretches out to 6856 yards so it will pretty much entertain golfers of all levels. It's a relatively flat course and easily walked. For the most part there isn't a lot of trouble to get into as the fairways are spacious and should your drives wander, playing from the rough is manageable. There is a scattering of bunkers and only two water hazards. Holes 5, 6 and 7 are good fun. Hole 10, a delightful 168 yard, Par 3 plays two clubs less from it's elevated tee onto a generous green protected front and right by bunkers.

It appears to be a consistently well maintained course, has generously portioned fairways and the greens make for a fair test of golf. It would be difficult not to have a good day here.

Nice Drive from Calgary

Greens are in awesome condition, fairways are good in 2018. Mountains are in view on many holes. Great course, very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Short drive from South Calgary, Okotoks, or High River. Deer, Moose, Owls and Fox are often seen around the course.
