Great round of golf
I was in Orlando for vacation I wasn't sure where I was going to play golf. I happen to be there the weekend of the Arnold Palmer invitational at Bayhill, and the golf channel I did a special on where to play golf in Orlando one of the host of the morning drive recommended Winter Park and so I looked into it. It happened to be close to where I was staying one night and decided to go ahead and give it a shot. The clubhouse is small and the staff wasn't the most talkative seem like he had better places to be that day but I got on the course quickly and I didn't see a single person playing golf near me for a good bit once I started. I played by myself and I never had to wait on the Teebox to hit a shot. It was mid March so the fairways were a little bit in rough condition but the greens were spectacular and they rolled true. The course is nestled into a very nice neighborhood on a suburb of Orlando Florida and every hole was line by streets. There was a festival of some kind going on and the streets had tons of pedestrians on them. There were also very expensive cars driving around the streets and that made for a little bit higher stress for hitting an errand to golf ball. I ended up playing one of my best rounds of the week there and frankly of my life and I really enjoyed The overall feel of the course. The layout was great, it wasn't super hard, it was short and it made attacking the pan on the par fives easy. All the greens were extremely undulated which made putting a little harder but the greens ran true and if you could get a read on the put you were sinking it just about every time, at lease I did in my case. I highly recommend the course to get off the beaten trail of all the tourism and fancy stuff. I think I read that this is the oldest golf course in Orlando so definitely need to check it out
Great overall experience
I wanted a golf course to play with my wife not having played in many years. She was very happy to play to very nice 9 hole course without having someone pushing us. We also had an opportunity to meet another couple to play a no stress game.
The course was very nice, and staff made us feel like we were among friends. They kepted us informed until we were given the green light to tee -off. I recommend this course to everyone!
Up and down
My uncle Jack shot 28 thirty years ago.
What a round!!
Lot of fun.
Fun & Challenging 9-Holer!!!
Real gem that offers one challenges to use their full complement of clubs, while hitting shots to the right positions on the hole.
WP 9
Good pace today, greens were true. Lot of fertilizer on the fairway. Good round, weather was pleasant
Hidden Gem!!!
This course is a hidden gem that presents golfers from beginners to low handicappers challenges. Will definitely be back to play this course again in the near future. Greens will test one’s ability to read them and strike their putts true.
Great course
I love playing this course. You can typically get done in under 2 hours if pace of play is quick.
Winter Park - In town gem
Nice muni course. The setting right in the middle of a very nice residential area in the middle of town is different and very nice.
