Sad example of a golf course.
Played here for the first time last weekend with three friends. We were immediately directed to start on the back nine to accommodate a men's league who was going to start on the front. We did not see anybody else in the parking lot or on the course. Whatever. The tee boxes are dirt...yes, dirt. Some have "sprigs" of field grass, but that's about it. The greens are worse than the tee boxes. I literally had multiple patches of crab grass in my putting line. For that matter, most of the greens were reduced to patches of what I can only describe as "weed clumps." Did I mention that we were told to keep to the 90* rule? Ahem...the course was bone dry...and the fairways were a mix of many different grass types. We paid $20 to play here--that's $20 and 3+ hours of my life I'll never get back. Hint: INVEST in some maintenance and close the course till its suitable for play. Do NOT play here, folks. Please note that I'm being very, VERY nice here and sugar-coating much about the course condition....so that should give you an idea about the quality (lack thereof, that is) of this course. A scratch golfer could not break 80 here...it's that bad. Forget putting...it's an effort in futility to attempt a roll on these greens...weeds. UGH!

Good layout and short that worked well for my wife. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Rater1
Course layout I liked plus tightness of fairways. Greens in bad shape and parts of fairways were poor. Probably needed rain. Price was good

short but tight
Manager of the pro shop was awesome, Polite, friendly and informative. Tee time was scheduled at 1:45 moved us up about a half an hour to ensure we would finish before dark. Course is a little rough in spots but an enjoyable round. Pace of play was good. 3 hrs 30 minutes.
Decent par 69
Short track but you best be straight. There are a lot of run off areas just off the fairways and greens that will grab wayward shots. Risk reward shots all over this course, that is why we are back to play this mini brute again today! Greens have some bad patches but not terrible. Fun course especially if you stay out of the trees.
Slow play
Marshall's should be more pro active by moving players along instead of just driving around.
Thank you for taking the time to review our golf course. We apologize if you felt our marshals were not proactive in managing player flow. Your feedback is important to us and we will take it into consideration to improve our services.
Southport springs
Good golf course 69 par . Few water hazards but terrain challenges errant tee shots. Overall course conditions were good. Greens had some spotty patches on a few holes otherwise great conditions. Great value thru hot deals via golf now app!! Pro shop staff were appropriate and polite.
