Incredible Improvements
I have played there for over 30 years. I had moved a few years ago out of state. I came back to play and the greens were the best I have seen them in 30 years! I was impressed. They built a pond so water is more accessible during the hot months. Basically unlimited water supply from a spring underneath the ground. Pond is very nice and a great visual improvement to the course. Actually comes into play if you go over the green on 9 now. Greens are very thick Bermuda. They are slow but extremely healthy. You will be impressed if you had played here before 2014 compared to now. If you want to play a quick 9 or 18 for one low price and you are a higher handicap player, then I think you will really enjoy walking through the course. Hint....play the hills into the green. Bump and run is the best play.
Surprised
Usually the course is in pretty poor shape but I must admit the greens were lush and slow and the fairways were in good shape. If you'd rather play a round than hit a bucket of balls at the range this is a fun substitute.
9 hole.
Small 9 hole course that is part of a small public park. It looks like they fenced in part of said park and cut a golf course on it. It was worth the $5 I payed but will probably never play it again. Staff was very friendly. The tee boxes where in the best shape of the whole course, and probably better then some of the nicer courses I've played. If you live within a few mins drive of this course and just want to walk a little course for the same price as a driving range it's an ok time.
Good for walking and iron practice
Course is in pretty bad condition and likely not worth more that $10 for 18 much less 9. It is good for short game practive (but not putting)
Great Course for the money
Had a Great time golfing, weather was excellent and green conditions were very nice. Great place to walk the course especially for the money.
Okay Course with... SOCCER GOLF?
I chose to play this course because we were paying a decent price, plus it was close to the Texas Rangers Ballpark. We show up to tee off and find out that the golf course is also a "Soccer Golf" course, and there were little kids running everywhere around us.
We waited behind a group of 8 people playing this game, running around everywhere and hollering like heathens. The holes for the soccer balls were in the fairway of the ACTUAL golf course... Unbelievable.
Other than that huge mishap, the course was alright. The greens were very beaten up and inconsistent, but they were challenging. Watch out for the trees because they are everywhere.
Friendly staff
I play at meadowbrook to work on my game ie shot shapes distances etc. always helps when I go to a larger course. The staff is really friendly and is always happy to see me. Greens are decent and have been worked on comparing to some other courses I decided to try.
Great course for the price!
$11 for 18 holes walking! I had such a blast at this course that I bought their clubhouse golf towel for my bag. This course will challenge your chipping game and also give you a comfortable setting to play in. The course is well maintained and the staff went above and beyond for me. Will play again at least once a week!
Fun Course
I've been playing golf for 45 years. I'm a 12 handicap and have played many, many courses in my day. Let me tell you that Meadowbrook / Arlington is a lot of fun! I hit my driver on four of the six par-4's and get to work on my wedges. I usually hit 7 or 8-irons into the par-3s. I play during the week and 18 holes usually takes me 2 hours and 15 minutes. The price is right too.
strictly as an alternative to the range
Course is in pretty bad shape. The greens are horrible. But you can work on distances and accuracy with your clubs
Not reccomended
This course was poorly maintained and their was absolutely no dress code (I'm talking about people playing in cutoffs and flip flops). If the rate of play were any slower it would've been at a complete stop.
anything goes
Went to play there and course was gur all over the grounds tee boxes were tore up person who placed holes left a lip on everyone, greens had holes in them. The person running facility was told by me that there was a group of five playing and was slowing down play and was told no Marshall on duty and never resolved won't play there again
Cheap course
You get what you pay for. Just leave the driver at home for this course. Longest is 268 yards. Workers are rude but if you or buddies are just starting than I highly recommend it
Greens are the challenge
Meadowbrook Golf Club is an inexpensive golf course, and for that reason you encounter players of all experience levels, often those who have little to no golf skills. As a result you can get stacked up fairly often.
The layout of the course is easy, with #1 being the most difficult because of the dogleg, and the narrow, tree-lined approach.
The things that makes this course a bit challenging are the small, sloped, undulating greens with sparse, patchy grass. You cannot rely on a true roll or consistent green speeds.
Clubs that come into play for me are: Driver/3-wood/5-wood, 6, 7, 8 irons, PW, SW and putter.
This a great place to get your in order! Work things out.
I have played this course for many years and it keeps providing my game the stuff I need to work on and work out of my game. Its a great place to get things worked out. Keep up the good work guys.
Thanks,

Great beginner course, fun to play
Played on a Saturday afternoon, course was busy but not over crowded. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a motorized cart to become available, but not a big deal. Used the delay to practice on the putting green right near the clubhouse.
Course layout is very basic, but does help with your club selection and shot making. Course was in great shape and staff was very friendly. Best of all, no water hazards or sand bunkers!!
Would play here again for sure.
played here alot over the years and it looks better than i have ever seen it.
Early mid afternoon light breeze sunny and nobody on the course for several holes. First time playing for bout 8 months, I like the openess of the course forgiven if your goes array like alot of mine did. With the addition of carts makes the speed of play go smoother.I think this is perfect place to tune up your game if its been a awhile since you played last. And back to mother nature wonderful with all the squirels meandering everywhere, not afraid of you at all, some will even take a pecan from you. Just the i thing i needed relaxed and none rushed play loved it
Been Playing Here For Years
One of my favorite municipal golf courses in the area. A little tough but forgiving. Just keep it in play and you'll have a good day! I started playing there back in the 80's and still enjoy a round there every now and then. They even have riding carts now for us old fogies!
very short, worn out course.
Fairways were poor no grass. Greens were very hairy and slow.
Good value
The course was in good shape. Probably the best I've seen it in several years. It is always a value and has several interesting holes.
