This is Andy. He's in sales and is somehow always 'working' when we're playing golf. He can almost never be tagged on a Facebook golf course check-in during a weekday. He's 'working.' So here's proof that he was out with us playing golf yet again. :) Photo submitted by GordonATX on 09/08/2018

Great winter condition Photo submitted by jimpham on 01/07/2017
Best shape ever
I've been playing this course for over ten years. This is the best managed Muni in Austin by far.! All the other Muni's (Municipal Golf Courses) in Austin have lost their greens for various reasons except Roy Kiser.
Well done Roy Kiser management Team!
Horrible greens, avoid playing here
Greens are in horrible shape, super bumpy and hardly any grass. Pretty sad for this course to shut down a few years back to fix the greens because they lost them and looks like they are losing them again. In general Clay, Kizer and Willie all have horrible greens right now, don't know what is going on with the munis these days. Just go up north and pay a little bit more to play Star Ranch or ShadowGlen which both courses have greens in great shape.
Kizer
The greens are not in and are mostly dirt. Course conditions don't warrant the cost.
March 2024
The fairways and tee boxes are great, sand traps are pretty good all around but the greens are 95% dirt/sand and crab grass.
Given that the greens are so bad I wouldn’t play it for the next month or so
Course was fun, pace was bad
Starter was letting 2-somes go off by themselves without waiting for all four in the group to assemble at the 1st tee, which ruined the pace for the whole round. Probably just on him but why the staff would hire someone with no experience or not train them is odd.
Poor condtions
Tee boxes were bare. Fairways were hard and no grass. Greens were dormant and hard to read. Pace was slow but manageable.
Course Work
Because of course work on holes 14 and 18, the tees have been moved up, so much so that the tees for hole 18 made the length about 100 to 110 yards.
The condition of the course should be stated so that players will know when they book a tee. Additionally, the green fee should be reduced until the work is completed.
I would not recommend this course at this time.
Good Value
Played as a threesome. Pace was very good on the front nine, Slow on the back nine due to very slow threesome in front of us. Never offered to let us play through. Very hot but course was in pretty good shape. Greens and tees very good, fairways a little dry. Will play again.
Great day of golf
We have the pleasure of visiting Austin yearly. Last time this course was closed for renovation. Luckily this year we got to play this fun and scenic course. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape considering how hot and dry it's been. Greens rolled true and the traps were in good shape. Played course in 3:45 with all players in front and behind moving accordingly. The staff both inside and out were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back
Good condition but…
Conditions are very solid. Only issues with this facility is that there are no water jugs in 100° Texas heat. Saw a beverage cart once in a 5 hour round that we had to wait for every shot.
I have played out here a couple of times over the last month. In late May the greens were really good, last week 6/11, they seem to be deteriorating, some much worse than others. I am concerned. Overall, it is still really good, but the 55.00 weekend fee is outrageous.
