Typical public course
The greens, fairways and tee boxes were all in good condition. If you ride during covid, the single rider fee was an additional $9. The holes on this course have a variety of layouts, elevation changes and water holes.
Greatly Improved
This course has always had an interesting layout but historically was not well maintained. If you have not played this course recently, you should give it another try. The weather prior to our round had been hot and humid for weeks and it showed in the rough, which was baked and burned. The fairways and greens however were in great shape.
Good value for the average golfer
Been playing the Oxbow Glen course since 1990. Course has undergone many changes recently. Overall condition of the course is good. Greens are challenging with many contours and play at a moderate speed. Course is well maintained. The rough is tough if you stray from the fairway.
Pace of play can be a concern because the green fees, the best in the area, and as a result attract many novice, first-time golfers who play slow and don't understand golf etiquette. Staff is courteous and nice to deal with. Food service and pricing is average.
The golf course management do a great job and welcome all golfers.
Play it forward at the tees that support your golf experience and handicap and you'll enjoy your golfing experience at Oxbow Glen.
