FUN IN THE SUN
Challenging Executive course. I played the Par 4's off the matts as some of the tee boxes are currently under construction. Hole 8 was 320 yards into a non visible island sand trap and I managed to go 1 over. A very tight coursed that needs a sharp game. Some very challenging holes and hole placements. Like the Terminator says "I'LL BE BACK!!!"
Priced right. Good Overall Condition
This course has come a long way. I use to play this course 20+ years ago. The new owners made many changes. They added sand traps, practice areas. Greens are nice. New tee boxes being built as we speak. I'll be back again. GREAT PRICE!!!
Love this place!!!
Where else can you go so close to home, play a quick round in the morning, pay a great price and be home to make the wife happy?
This is my new home.
Glad I found this place.
A lot of fun for an Executive Course.
Used my driver on several holes.
Will be back.
Not maintained
Course is very narrow and was not maintained. Multiple holes had moved the white tees up to the red tees, which still had terrible tee boxes. Staff was friendly, and it's a cheap price with their specials on their website. Otherwise would not recommend.
So close to home. Great prices...
I play this place a few times a week. You can finish a round in just over 3 hours if you are walking. Weekends are a little slower then weekdays. I don't mind as it gives me time to think. It is becoming supper addictive. I play several times a week as it so affordable. Great people working in the clubhouse.
Money would be better spent at a good driving range
Scorecard has 500+ yds more than actual play! Considering this is already a short executive, consider a good range instead. Not a single tee box in acceptable shape with most randomly placed forward in the fairway. Soft greens, indicating that some care was given in the past, but current conditions had WEEDS growing on every green - bump, bump goes the put. Only one ‘real’ bunker, left front green on the par 4 18th..drove the tee shot into it (not knowing it was there) and had to pull out the fishing pole to retrieve the ball. In a hydro corridor, but with some care could be welcoming for beginners or those looking for a quick short game. Here’s hoping this one comes back to the standards of previous reviewers.
Almost perfect.. Drawback booze not available due to upcoming changes
I always thought this was a City course. It is privately owned. Lets continue to support these current owners. This course is so close to home. Management shared that the City of Markham is reviewing future expansion to the driving range. Can't wait for it.
Fun course with a lot of specials offered 7 days a week.
Check this place out if you are tired of spending over 4.5 hours playing 18 holes. Pace of play during the week is great. FYI slower pace due to league play on Thursdays. If you take a power cart during the week, you can finish all 18 holes in less then 2.5 hours.
So close to 416 - Great for all levels of golf and you can finish in just over 3 hours!!!
This place is so much fun and easy to get to. I live in downtown Toronto and shoot up the 404 once a week to play this course. Night and day from previous ownership. Great price for a walk in the park and the scenery is great as well.
I've been playing since the new ownership took over in 2020. Course and staff are very welcoming.
Course Revamp
Just finished my first round at Markham Executive and I had a great time.
I used to play Cresthaven and it seems since the ownership changed they've made lots of improvements. When I booked on the phone and when I made it to the clubhouse the staff were very kind and helpful. I seriously suggest you stop by the course if you'd like to work on your short game or would just like to enjoy a relaxing and not overly challenging round of golf.
Surprised!!!
It's been years since I last golfed and what a surprise it was to visit this course to find that it has been taken over by new management and new owners.
My husband and I used to come here all the time until it's previous owners decided to shut down. We're so thrilled it's so close to home and even more thrilled about all the changes they've made.
Markham Executive Golf course is a gem in Markham! I can't wait to round up the crew!
Great course for price
For value of money this is a great course. A par 54, This course to me is amazing beginners and weekend golfers, juniors, kids, family’s, or even couples! For the intermediate to daily golfer, if you want pure Iron practise, sure, but you’ll probably only need a 7, 8, 9,, iron and a putter as it’s all Par 3’s
For me, I can use my woods and drivers as I can’t hit the ball 225 so I’m good on those Par 3’s, and I’m not the greatest golfer so this course fits my needs. I never play in the morning for $40 because at noon right now it’s $24, if that changes in the summer I don’t know.
Overall great course with a wild 18th tee, that downslope can ruin your score so play it safe!
Bad for a wet day
Cresthaven is the lowest cost provider of golf in the GTA. They frequently post online deals which makes this place very affordable.
I've been here on great days but I've also been here on rainy/wet days. On a rainy day, slopes and hills will collect water and you are certain to get stuck in a puddle of mud.
Overall this course is good practise and one can finish it in less than 2 hours.
The course is built below power lines and adjacent to a train path. Not very scenic and the trains get very loud as they pass.
Easy par 3 course - train your irons
I like to play it after work when I have only two hours left - easy course for beginners also. First come first serve basis, tee off when you are ready. Only walking, which is nice.
Especially on holidays to expensive for the value. Bonuscard, 6 plays get one free is very good!
Great Par 3 18 hole course
excellent beginner par 3.
2 people can finish the course in 2hours
no sand traps one water hazard.
Good golf course for irons!
Very good condition since I played here many years ago and very matured grass all over the golf course. Very goof fairways and putting greens and a great deal for the value of money!
Great family course
It was very busy but the staff was super friendly and got us on the way 10 min after my tee time. Great course for your short game.
Excellent Transition Course for Beginners
Friendly and helpful staff.
Warmup area with net, putting area and chipping area.
Easy par 3 course, low difficulty.
Great for beginners transitioning from the driving range to an actual course.
Will return for sure!
