Boulder Creek Golf Club - Desert Hawk/Coyote Run
About
Boulder Creek Golf Club boasts three nine-hole courses, which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Though this Boulder City club is a bit off the beaten path, the scenic location is well worth the drive. The terrain provides different challenges on each nine. The Desert Hawk/Coyote Run combination begins with the longest of the three nines. Desert Hawk has plenty of room for lengthy drives and clear shots to generous fairways. There are also opportunities to work on your short game skills, it's a nine that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The back nine is just as diverse with varying elevation changes that depending on where your ball lands can either be a boon or a punishment. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes.

A gem to the southeast of Las Vegas
This was my second time playing at this course. My first visit was to scope out the course and amenities for future play with friends and family. Although the course was undergoing over seeding and green punching on my first visit, the 3 9–hole courses were still playable and in pretty good shape. This time I joined my nephew and as promised, the course was in excellent shape! The fairways were like green carpets rolling throughout the desert vegetation. There were plenty of fairway bunkers to keep anyone honest and the greens were islands of green protected by sand! Varying tee boxes cater to every skill and there were challenges for everyone. For out back 9, we were treated to a game changing blowing wind and relatively simple shots became a guessing game for chances of success. All this was to be expected when playing in a desert environment. Overall, we had a great day, good food and for a short 45 minute ride off the strip, we found a treasure.
Great course good value
Friendly staff. Good course to play for the value
Tight layout Easy to get a tee time and worth the drive from downtown
great value in the Las Vegas area
Nice driving range/warmup area. Course has a variety of hole setups. Tee boxes are nice and hole lengths vary. Greens are undulating and fast. Bunker sand was inconsistent. I would definitely play again.
Members painfully slowwwwwww
Nice track, very dry. Members were painfully slow to play behind and were even had 2 beginner golfers on our group and even they were waiting.
Good challenge
First time playing Boulder Creek. Some interesting holes where even if I hit well, you may end up in a bunker or ditch if one isn’t able to control the direction well. Some clumps growing on the fringes, but otherwise, the course was in god shape.
Excellent course layout, greens were in good shape as well as the fairways. Fringes around the greens are very poor as there are tight of a secondary grass making putting and chipping pretty much impossible as the toughs of grass kick the ball all over the place or outright stop the ball. There were almost no garbage cans on the tee boxes!
