Needs tons of work
I don't even know where to begin. Worst course I've ever played. No grass. The greens are more like yellows. No cart path and when there is, it's dirt and gravel. It was like playing Golf in the middle of the dessert and my cart got a flat. I paid $10 and should of asked for my money back. I'll never go back.
Friendly Staff
It is winter so its not fair to be too hard but the greens were not good and the fairways had allot of dirt in them. The course marking are poor and its hard to tell which green your going at. However the guy running the place was the friendliest person I have ever met at a golf coures. Him I give 5 stars. I would go back and see how it is in the summer just because of the friendily atmosphere.
Timberview is a a great course for the money
A great course for the money....one of the hidden courses in Tarrant County a great place to play for the intermediate and beginner...A good course for a fair price.
Fortunately was on Hot Deal
As stated staff was extremely friendly, however in need of TLC with many amenities in a state of disrepair. Arrived and they were holding the last cart for us, yet we only made it through 3 and a half holes before it died and we had to walk back to the clubhouse. The staff offered a refund but found out it was a voucher to return in 30 days which they gladly offered to extend to 90 days. In the meantime they found another cart for us which initially seemed to have enough power but also died on hole 16. After walking back in from playing 17 I had no desire to play 18 toting a full cart bag. Bottom line greens needed cutting badly and was like rolling on carpet, fairways if you call them that was like hitting out of a pasture, and water in every hole- we haven't had rain in a week. There was no visible sign of a tee box other than the markers and a sand put. Not sure even the $10 per round I paid was worth it. Won't be returning.
Really sorry for your experience at the course. The cart situation with Yamaha has been a nightmare. They have a serious issue with their connectors in the carts. Good news is they will have a new fleet at the course by March 1st.
Yes, our greens will be slow as we are a lower budget course however they roll true and will be in great shape.
We have some big surprised for 2014...stay tuned !!

Great to go practice
You get what you pay for...cheap prices and a course that is just below average. Super short course from the tips. Very small greens. Slow greens but they putt true. Not very crowded - you could get a lot of practice and hit many 2nd and 3rd shots if needed. Super friendly staff though.
Course is maintained but cart paths need repairing. Updates are needed.
I was very disappointed. They don't have enough carts, so the cart you get has already been on the course, therefore it runs slow or will run out of juice as ours did. We called the office and he said he would bring us a cart. We watched him give carts out to other people. After 20 minutes of waiting, we left only getting to play 9 holes. If I ever go back I will definitely take my push cart.
Fun Course, but MAJOR dress code enforcement issues.
The course was mediocre, really wide open fairways with little to no hazards. The biggest downside of this course is there is no enforcement on dress code. There were multiple people golfing in gym shorts and t shirts and I couldn't count how many people I saw wearing jeans. Come on, have a little pride and golf etiquette. For twenty five bucks a person, you should at least turn away the trashy people who look like they're going to the gym and not a golf course. I may or may not return. Just disappointed the course has no pride by allowing gym shorts, t shirts and denim play on a saturday morning. The people playing looked straight out of the trailer parks.
course has a challanger because the greens are very small and hard to hold on approach shots.
Tis course is suffering from the fairways are not irrigated and the grass is very dry.
Friendly, playable, great for families
The staff is super-friendly. I brought my two boys here for their first 18-hole golf experience and it was fantastic. The course is well maintained and challenging enough for experienced golfers but my kids' mis-shots were still able to be found and played so the stress level was low. Great course; can't wait to play it again.
Thanks for review!
This is what we strive to provide. We are a super bidget god course.
Your friends at Tview!
Could use a little attention, but decent for the price
There are three aspects to this course. The teeboxes, the fairway and the greens. The teeboxes vary wildly from hole to hole. Some are in good shape, others are rock hard. As an extreme amateur, this really isn't that big of a deal for me. The fairways though, didn't seem to have much maintenance at all. I constantly found myself in dead grass and straight up dirt. This made fairway shots hard and tended to make me want to shoot for the edges of the rough just to make sure I had at least a tiny bit of grass under the ball. The greens on the other hand were pretty nice. Soft and slow made putting a pretty easy job.
The first 18 holes were $25. This was a little pricey considering what we had to fight through. But we ended the back 9 on a high and decided to go for maybe another 9 or so. We found it was only $5 to go for another 18. This vastly improved the value of the round.
So, if you plan on playing more than 18, you'll probably enjoy this course if you can get through the bare and somewhat unmaintained fairways.
Great value for $
I play this course instead of my driving range practice. Especially at the price I got from golf now.
Fairways are pretty burnt and barren
I did get a very hot deal, about $12 for a Sunday afternoon but the course is in pretty poor shape from tee to green. The greens are not too bad but they are very small. The other issue I had is the course is not very interesting, there are no bunkers and almost no water hazards. The holes are all pretty straight away with not a dog leg to be found. If you are looking for a place to practice all of your shots (other than sand) it is not bad and at the price I got, about the same as at a driving range.
Meet Expectations. Course needs work but has potential.
Played Timberview for the first time this past Sunday. Booked a noon tee time on golfnow, hot deal for $13.99. Read plenty of the reviews on golfnow so I didn't have real high expectations for this course but felt like it was worth a try for 13.99. They were out of carts when me and my playing partner arrived at 11:30, there were 2 other groups waiting ahead of us for carts. We were able to get a cart and teed off righ about noon. Due to the cart issue me and my buddy decided to tee off on the back nine as there was a backlog on the 1st tee. This course needs work but does have potential. Its pretty wide open and easy which is nice for a high handicaper like myself, only lost 1 ball all day! Pace of play was good, we got through our round in about 3.5hrs. The tee boxes and fairways need work, the greens were in decent shape and played slow. The staff (1 guy running the pro shop, carts and the food/drink counter) was great all things considered, very friendly and helpful. Overall I was satisfied with my round, I won't pay full price to play this course but its not a bad value on a hot deal. If the owners put some money into the course and the clubhouse this could be a great course.
Redneck Golf at Its Finest
This is a fun little course that is slowly but surely coming back around. I played this course 10 years ago and conditions were so bad that I walked off at the 16th hole and swore never to return. Since that time they have obviously been putting some sweat equity into the maintenance, and the 15th 16th and 17th holes have not only been redone, but they are now the best holes on the course. If they bring the rest of this course up to that standard, they will have a hard time keeping people away.
I think this course gets a bad rap from people's memories of what a Certified Goat Pasture it used to be. It also gets a bad rap from all the drinkers with a golfing problem that used to hang out here. It has really been cleaned up, in all respects, and if they keep going after it, it could easily become one of the better values in the whole area. Right now, if you can get on for $15 or less---it is a darned good value. When the maintenance catches up, which it shows signs of doing, it will be well worth their regular green fee.
Keep in mind--Augusta it ain't! What it is, however, is a great little course where you can have fun, develop good course management habits, practice your rescue shots, and even practice developing shot shaping acumen. Keep that in mind, and you will get a real kick out of this one.
Terrible course and conditions
Staffs is super friendly 5 stars, but the course is so poor to play. Is like they mower the grass out in the woods to make it a fairway. Green is terrible and impossible to putt. Worst golf course I've have played yet in the DFW area. Not worth $20.
Great bang for buck!
A little hidden gem for the $. Just a fun play with several drivable par 4s and some interesting holes especially on the back. Greens were slow and small, but soft.
Course looked great.
Kudos to the grounds keeper. Staff is always friendly because they get it.
Great Value
Played this course years ago & it was a dump. Much improved since then. No sand, some water in play on a few holes, and greens were decent but a little on the small side. Only thing I notice was several of the holes were almost identical to previous ones. All in all a super value for $14 with cart on a Hot Deal via Golf Now. Plan on playing there again.
We are so glad you think so. This is what we strive to be!
Exciting changes for 2014...stay tuned!!
