They needed to make sure there were enough carts for the 1 foursome ahead of us before issuing us a cart. Photo submitted by u6463401 on 08/20/2023

Good Challenging Experience
Surprised by the length and great condition of the course. Will return!
Spruce up your tee boxes and fairways
Over the years I have made The Links my go-to course especially when I need to work on my putting. This past year and the beginning of this year have me wondering why the poor conditions other than the greens. You need to pay more attention to your tee boxes and the fairways, especially for the price you keep asking. I find myself second-guessing if I should even go there now as a result of the tee boxes and fairways. Not fun to play there as much as in previous years.
Still Needs Work
The staff make this course. If it wasn't for their friendly welcome and courtesy I probably would not play there as much. Money needs to go to the enhancement of the fairways, greens, traps, and tee boxes. Once these areas are improved the course will be recognized more by the community and regional area. If it is not improved, it will continue to be a once a month course.
Rip off
Booked tee time day before for green fee and cart. Got to the course and they said it was walk only, did not refund for cart, and did not offer pushcarts. Staff was not friendly. Course was okay for the price of the hot deal but not worth full price tee times.
Okay, I guess.
If you’re an OU student, or someone just looking to get out and do something other than the driving range, the Links is great.
The course is not great, tons of mud and dirt, in fact, maybe more than decent grass. Also, the layout does not have good irrigation. Numerous times greens and fairways are completely flooded after rains. Therefore, the greens are not great either although they rolled decently well when we played.
Also, when we arrived for our 9:15 tee time at 9:00 and checked in at 9:10 the lady behind the counter was kind, but there was man in the lobby (either manager of a the course of resident), but he out of nowhere ridiculed my group saying “y’all should already be teeing off, and speeding up pace of play.” Here’s the thing, it was 5 minutes before our even scheduled time to start AND We had 3 people not a full 4some, all of which were former high school players, so before we had even hit a shot we had a bad taste in our mouth from the course staff for seemingly no reason. Just to finalize the point, we of course did not hold on anyone up and in fact got stuck behind a group for 6 holes of play.
We’ve played this course numerous times and probably will continue to do so because it’s cheap and close to Norman, however if you’re looking for a good golf outing, find a time for Winter Creek or somewhere in OKC.
Always a fun time!
I always enjoy playing here, a great mix of simple layouts and challenging holes. I play a day after lots of moisture so not the most favorable conditions, but I still played well and you will too! Cheers 🍻
Still Hanging In There!
I don't expect too much enhancement of the course during the winter months but it would be great for the course if pre-this and pre-that occurred during the winter weeks. The course has potential but probably will never be taken advantage of because of the ownership. Staff is the best quality of this course.
$10 course maybe
Overall the upkeep is terrible. I have been to The Links of Stillwater, and that is a great course for the value. This one misses the mark by a long shot. The lady in the prison is the only saving grace.
Not My First Rodeo
The course has improved somewhat in its health. Still need to work on the tee boxes, stay on top of the fairway grass quality, work the sand traps, and get some new tee markers for cosmetic quality (important to the image of the course), The staff girls/guy are people people, which I respect and admire. Your course's first contact with golfers is the staff. They do a great job of being nice and courteous. Need to sell beer and snacks, along with lunches.
Been There
Same layout, different greens, and great ladies in the clubhouse. Greens need some attention, maybe a little time to heal from the past hard rain and some vandalization. Also, the sand traps need some new sand and a little cosmetic attention. Overall the course maintenance seems to be a little neglected, possibly because of the limited finances and inflation.
Girls in the clubhouse are still great to people. I always enjoy seeing them.
The course is in such bad shape it’s hard to enjoy playing. Fairways are dry with dirt patches everywhere, greens are falling apart. They’ll hassle you about a tee time when the course is empty. The hot deal is the only possible way this place is ever worth your money.
Links Norman
Fairways nice green are average I would say 5/18 had bare and weed treatment but overall a really fun course and the club house staff are super nice
