Red Hawk Ridge
About
Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the Red Hawk Ridge golf course offers beautiful panoramic views of Colorado's Front Range and Castle Rock. The rolling terrain causes dramatic elevation changes for a fun, challenging game. It was designed with a traditional links-style layout with large, undulating greens and generous, subtly rolling fairways. The course has many risk/reward opportunities as well as heavy mounding and strategically placed bunkers. With five sets of tees, Red Hawk Ridge accommodates any skill level of golfer. The golf course's landscape is resplendent with lush native grasses and lakes, and several types of wildlife have even made the course their home.

Outstanding Course
Red Hawk Ridge is an outstanding course. Every hole is distinct and very interesting. There are huge elevation changes throughout. There are some very challenging holes including a 650 yard par 5 and a 530 yard par 4 (holes 7 and 15), but there are quite a few easy holes to make up for it (1, 2, 16). There are also a couple great risk/reward holes (8, 18). A few of my favorite holes were 1, 4, 14 and 18. Easily one of my favorite courses that I have played in Colorado. The conditions were great and the greens were pretty fast. The pace of play was excellent for a Sunday afternoon.
Great Day
This is a fun course, in great shape. Lots of elevation changes, gorgeous views (esp on the back 9). Not a back breaker, but plenty of chances to find trouble with a errant tee shot. A real favorite.
Red Hawk For The Win
Had a great time at Red Hawk this weekend. First time playing the course, and we will definitely be back. Got stuck behind a SLOW foursome, but still turned out to be a great round.
Just another city course.
It's a golf friendly course. All levels can play this course. It is overpriced and they overload the course.
Another solid experience
This was the second time I've played Red Hawk. It is a solid golf course with some great elevation change and views. It is not incredibly long from the tips and has some pretty generous landing areas. The only complaint I have is that on this day the course was playing pretty slow. Granted it was beautiful out and on a weekend but we tee'd off at 4:00 and sunset was not until 8:15 however we could only get in 15 holes (and the last one was very tough to see).
We did see a baby rattlesnake just behind the 8th tee box so I would advise anyone playing here use caution when searching for balls outside of the grass.
this course beautiful.
Had a great time look forward to playing it again.
Enjoyable round
Perfect challenge for a variety of skill levels. Our group had handicaps from 12 to 20 and we all enjoyed the challenge. Some holes fairly easy so it gives you a break. Good pace overall. Great layout with interesting elevation change. Highly recommend it!!!
A beautiful day
This course has lots of elevation! Unique hole set ups and in very good shape! Staff is helpful and the Friendliest I have met!!!!!
Very nice course
This is a very nice course and was in excellent shape. My only complaint is we saw the course marshall 5 or 6 times but although very visible he never did anything to speed up the group ahead of us. There were three empty holes ahead of us by the time we got to 15. Outside of that I would highly recommend the course. Staff in the snack bar were very nice.
Beautiful Copurse
Really nice course. Only the second time I've played. The first time I played the first 6 holes or so and they issued me a voucher to play again. The golf staff was very friendly as well as food and beverage staff. Would definitely go back.
private club conditions at a public course
Red Hawk Ridge is an exceptional course in pristine condition. The value was even better with deal on Golfnow. Greens rolled true. Pace of play could have been better for a Wednesday. Definately would recommend.
fun course
awesome scenic views with the elevations
just a real enjoyable course to play and definitely challenging!!
Awesome course!
The course was in great condition, green we're fast. Overall very satisfied.
Really nice Public Golf Course
Short course but can be challenging at times. Fairway pretty generous since its wide, but the elevation changes do play important decision on clubs. Overall, I was happy. Shot 76, it could have been better but maybe next time.
Father's Day golf
This course is absolutely beautiful. For the price I think it is one of the best values in the area for sure. We played on what is likely one of the busiest days of the year and they course managed the crowds very well. We were only backed on on a couple holes during the round - where I would have expected the entire course to be backed up on father's day.
slow & overpriced
We Played on Sunday with a 1000 tee time. Senior rates co not apply Fri thru Sunday. This is nice course, but not at $85.00. There are other choices for future play. We finished at 3::00. We waited on almost every shot. There was a monitor, but he did nothing. Stay away on the weekends unless you like a 5 hour round.
Elevated tee boxes
If you like a golf course with elevated tee boxes, this will be the course to play. It has about nine holes that are elevated tee boxes.
Great course
Great course and great views. Course is challenging for a skilled player but not to tough for a beginner. Five sets of tee boxes to accomadate your skill level.
Terrific Colorado Course
Great spot to take out-of-towners...terrific views and a very well-maintained course. Greens were very true, and for Colorado, held an approach shot amazingly well.
Play was slow, mid-morning Memorial Day so that was to be expected.
Lesser players found it a bit daunting with uphill Par 5s, but relatively short Par 5s, so very fair and playable.
All-in-all a terrific course...would be a lot better for $60-$65 a player, but paid $82 prime time, with cart.
fun course
fun course but got paired up with a very slow group
