Great day of golf
We were surprised no one was really lined up to play La Quinta Course. So we had a quick round less than 4 hours. No one ahead of us at all at 2:20PM. Weather was perfect and the course was in good shape. I always find everyone there very helpful and friendly. Great course for a public course.
Abysmal condition course
This is by far the worst condition course I have played in the USA. The greens were lumpy with huge holes / patches of mud and sand. Fairways were patchy with, again, lots of mud.
Even the starters were saying not to bother with the practice greens as their condition was so poor.
Paid $30 and it was $25 too much !!!
Nice course
I have enjoyed playing the course, I will definitely return to play.
What was bad, after 16th hole there is very misleading direction where to proceed so I have lost about 20 minutes to find the right path. On the range, the machine was out of balls so I went back to clubhouse for another token for nothing and had to pick up chipping green balls to warm up, not talking about 7 dollars paid for this useless exercise
Eldorado
Played Eldorado for the first time this past Saturday. Not a bad course and way better then the other one they have there. Only thing I really don't like is don't stop by the Clubhouse at all till you are done. Got a hot dog from the cart girl who was very nice put the hot dog was cold.
Disappointed
The layout of this course is great. Dog legs and water holes are challenging and fun. The course has just not been kept . The greens are in terrible shape with a strange kind of fungus on them. Even good shots in the fairway have no grass under the ball because they are in terrible condition as well. Could be a great course but unfortunately it falls far short
They’re shutting the course down for a year I believe starting in November for some much needed TLC.
Course is in terrible shape
Unfortunately, my recent visit to La Quinta left much to be desired. Despite the anticipation of a relaxing day on the greens, I found the course to be in a state of disrepair.
From uneven fairways to poorly maintained greens, it was evident that the course has seen better days. The lack of upkeep significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the game. Additionally, the price point did not align with the quality of the experience.
This course is not the same as it was even a year ago, and it is not worth playing here at all. My experience at La Quinta fell short of expectations. If you want a cheap course that does the trick - Sharpstown is WAY nicer!
A challenging course I like to play and have fun
Course condition is ok but not always perfect. Very challenging course to me because it’s par -holes are long around 400yards. The tee times are plenty and easy to book. The price for one round is also good. Overall, it is a good course I Lin my list I would like to play often.
Could be a very good place to play.
I have lived on this golf course for years. A very good golf shop, event center and restaurant. It could once again be a very good golf destination, for playing golf and events, but they never fix anything or upgrade. I will likely play other courses, even though we are there.
Cart Path Only 1/2
6 additional holes other than the par 3’s were cart path only. Sand was very hard packed and inconsistent. It is the rainy season so this was expected. Should be in nice shape come April.
Thank you for playing Quail Valley again, and we're glad you still love the classic La Quinta golf course!
