Worth playing
Good course and great warm-up/practice facilities. Was probably the hottest day of the year and plenty of water out on course. Challenging course in excellent condition and played midweek early afternoon so barely saw another soul. Not the easiest to get to but great value - especially at discounted prices. Tests every part of your game and greens in great condition.
Really Good Day
A course of two halves. First nine slightly open but look and condition great. Second half much tighter. Only down side on the day was that every member appears just to plays the tighter second nine and therefore slows the pace of your round enormously, what is that all about?
Overall good condition
I have played abridge on several occasions and although in the past I've been far from impressed, today was an excellent test of golf. The course was in fantastic condition and the tees moved back (we played off the blue tees). The greens were deceptively quick for this time of year, but also well watered so you could stop the ball. I booked online and paid £18, which I think was a steal, in comparison to other courses in the area. Well done abridge keep up the good work.
Love this course
This is a very attractive and challenging golf course. It's often slightly more expensive than other courses in the area but it is always immaculately maintained and very enjoyable to play.
Best course in Essex
Second time I've played here, although slightly earlier time of year. Greens weren't quite as quick this time but I did tee of at 15:15 so understandable. Cracking layout and always in good nick.
Friendly, welcoming, well worth a visit
Under new ownership, very friendly, a few bits of work going on around the course, so quite a few GUR's, didn't impact the round though, course management was very good overall, greens well tended and bunkers in good condition, really enjoyed it, if you can drive straight to 250-260, it leaves you between 140-170 on the par 4s, with I think it was 4-5 par 5's and 4-5 par 3s thrown in to mix it up, pretty straight course, you can seen the pin from the tee on most of the holes, a few doglegs as well to contend with, plenty of trees to catch anything wayward down the fairways, we will be going back, and seriously thinking about membership. Unbelievable value for £11 per person.
Exceptional Value
I don't think you could find a better deal. The course was in excellent condition for this time of the year. challenging, especially the long par 4 holes and the opening dog legs. A round of golf on one of the best courses in Essex for only £10, what a bargain!
One of the best I’ve played in Essex.
This course is one of the best I’ve played in Essex.
Mature tree line parkland course with undulating fairways with firm, fast & true greens in superb condition & bunkers, with some super 'driving' holes.
Your course management will have to be at its best as there are plenty of doglegs right & left,
You also have to take an extra club when approaching the greens as many are elevated, too short and you have an awkward pitch shot too long and the same.
Value for the money is base on TOT price £14.
Club price of £40 during the week it makes it a bit pricey.
You have to play this course at least once you won’t regret it....
Club house & pro shop had friendly staff, with practise chipping, putting green, driving range.
Sort of course I definitely be a member
