Great condition for winter
Great condition for playing in winter but other than that a bit boring and flat
Belton Woods
Course conditions would definitely have been higher if it had been drier
To be fair we were lucky course was actually open we had booked the lakes course but that was closed due to all the rain fall
Staff did change our booking to the Woods course at our original teee time
We have been coming to Belton for the last 13 years and it doesn’t disappoint we will return next year
Great course
Course was a great challenge, long and plenty of water. Tres and greens in great condition but fairways very wet, had to move ball on every fairway and made the course extremely long to play. Good value, just try to avoid post heavy rain.
Well kept challenging course
Brilliant course well kept, very long! Needs some signs for direction felt ourselves looking around for next tee box on a few occasions. £40 for a buggy and we had to dry it and go and collect it ourselves!
Take plenty of balls! We had a brilliant day even if our golf game was a bit lacking
Father's Day Round
Lovely course, was like millionaires golf, 3pm Monday afternoon, hardly anyone else playing at that time.
Bar was cash only which was a pain and the food was over priced so we decided to eat on the way home.
It was good but could be better
We were a walking three ball following groups of four balls in buggies, we knew it would be a 4 hour round before we teed off, accepted that so no issues
The course was in reasonable condition and the fairways generous in width, however the rough was tall and wispy should you get into it
The greens were fine too and ran true
The only issue with the course from my perspective was the sand that was used in the some of bunkers, the little stones made it appear if sharp grit sand (building sand) have used. This definitely took away from the experience of returning to Belton Eoods and playing the Lakes.
Still would recommend the course though
Belton Woods -Lakes Course
Having not played the Lakes course for a number of years I was blown away by how good the course was …. So much better than I remembered
Greens were fast and true, bunkers were great and fairways lush
A top top course
A very nice course
My first time playing this course which was to see if I would book a weekend golf break there for our big society. The course was very nice, not excellent but very nice. It matched the typical hotel dual course layout, nothing too hard and nothing too quirky, just very nice holes and layout. Certainly somewhere we would consider for a golf break as its slightly cheaper than the (better) more expensive options of Arden, Carden and Slaley, Nottinghamshire. Decent pro shop, pleasant staff and as we were first out, pace of play excellent. I would certainly play the Woodland course to see what thats like (we played the Lakes) but when considering a golf break part of me thinks I'd pay £40 more to play some of the other options which are slightly better manicured and more difficult courses.
Benton Woods Lakes Course
Enjoyed an excellent course, only downside being extremely slow greens, which nonetheless were smooth,
Course I’m good condition
It’s a great lay out and a good yardage off the back tees and whilst they’re not bad the greens let the course down they’re just too slow it was hard work getting the ball to the hole but it’s a really enjoyable course to hit your ball around
