Interesting course
Played this course for the first time but didn't realise it was only a nine hole course. Greens were not too bad but did have some problems that need time to fix. Good course but do t think it's worth the price they charge
Great course for a quick 9
Played in the evening for a quick 9, it was the first time since last year I’ve been here and the course is in great condition!
They have Placed new bunkers and hole signs which is a nice touch!
Greens were lush and the fairways were striped!
For 13 quid you cannot complain!
Staff were friendly as always!
Lovely 9 hole course, dog friendly
We had a great round as a three ball and dog. Staff were super welcoming and friendly. Nice course, picturesque and challenging. Would definitely recommend!
Lovely little golf course
Gent behind the bar went the extra mile to make me feel welcome being a first time player there. He explained the course map in detail. Very nice person. Fantastic customer service.
The course itself plays short at 5000 yards , you have to be careful on some holes as its very much a public situated set up with , with houses, dog walkers, and families having fun. Its a 9 hole course that can be played as an 18 you just go around again. Some tricky holes, but overall quite easy for intermediate level golfers. Fun place. Would recommend as a one off.
Try a round here, well worth it.
We really enjoyed a warm welcome and chat to a few members and staff upon our slightly early arrival, they managed to tee us off 45 mins early,
Golf course is on shared common land and crosses several quiet country roads to the different holes, although 9 holes, you play off of different tees for the back nine...... mostly tree lined with some tight fairways and some more generous, namely the 2nd a tough 2 shot par 4, followed by a stunning little par 3 that plays all of 100 yards at times.....
Really enjoyed the round, picked up a fair bit of litter, but do that on every course....mostly in the bushes, greens were superb and course generally in very good nick, you'll do well to get around in less than handicap at times......
Favourite hole was probably hole 7, even though I didn't play it well, it's a tough one to get right....
So go ahead an have a go here....
Just please don't litter, repair those pitch marks, rake bunkers and repair divots even if not yours, trust me when I say, look after the course and the course will look after you!

Great little course
Really nice course. Has one of the best games of my life on the weekend, breaking 90 for the first time. Will highly recommend this course.
Amazing course
I went to the bar and Alex behind the bar was very friendly then they let me warm up on the putting Green (which has lots of different kind off puts). Then I hit a few shots on the net. After that I teed off the first hole was looking beautiful and so were the rest off them especially the 3rd hole maybe the nicest hole in the county.Great value for money as the Green fees are so cheap and the course is short but it teaches you to hit straight.I’m going to join this golf club as it is so cheap to join and you don’t have to pay Green fees if you join and you can play any time.Overall one of the best courses I have been to.
Lovely, friendly atmosphere
My first time out and what a delightful way to start. This is a short but challenging course. Great value for money and the most welcoming manager I've ever met. I'll be back many more times.
Great fun
Great fun little course with staff very friendly and helpful as always.
Very pretty course - Amazing value for money
I had a wonderful time at Chesham & Ley Hill GC. Considering the awful recent weather the course conditions were remarkable. Fairways and tee boxes remarkable and only one (very playable) winter green. The permanent greens all played true.
A couple of great holes - especially par 3 3rd. The course is very picturesque, but the hilly nature was a good for fitness.
Wonderful friendly staff and good, welcoming clubhouse atmosphere afterwards.
Nice little course
Nice little course very woody some tight spots to play in
Surprisingly challenging golf course!
This golf course I thought would be a straight forward simple course. It's far from it! It has some wonderful holes (particularly the 1st and 3rd) which require you to keep your nerve. This course is unreal in the summer. Tree lined, lovely fairways and the greens are brilliant. Can get a little rough in the winter but that's just its location.
I would say this course is great value for money.
Great little find
This was a great last minute find. The course is essentially 9 holes with different tee boxes. Course was pretty quiet so not a problem playing shared fairways and greens but could be a bit hectic on busier days. The groundsman was super friendly. Course and especially the greens were in great shape. Signs between tees could definitely be better. Will certainly be back
Friendliest club around
Course ok for time of year, mid winter. Staff and Brandy the dog first rate, very friendly.
Great little course
Nice 9 hole course with an interesting layout. Very quiet in the morning. Great value for money!
Great course but could be better
So I played the double nine hole course, overall the layout was good though the course was let down by the greens, large patches on quite a few of the greens that were missing grass, though that's the only thing to improve, overall I found it good value for money, some challenging dog leg holes, if recommend to others to give it a go, and if the greens were repaired if consider joining.
Great course
I enjoyed playing this course and look forward to playing it again, one small criticism, would be the lack of grass and bald patches on the greens, though it didn't really hinder my play, overall a good quick paced course with some challenging holes.
Please note old review. Since this date Chesham & Ley Hill GC have heavily invested in a new drainage system on their greens and Greens are very good now.
