Fun Course, Great Value

Fun setup and, for a course limited in length/number of bunkers, it provides a good challenge. The quirky layout and slopes might not be to everyone’s tastes, but great for someone looking for great views and an enjoyable round.

Lovely golf course although quite short although challenging enough due to the undulating greens. Beautiful views , well worth a visit.

Good course on a windy hill

Fab views of the lakes but very windy. Greens in nice condition and some. Really fun holes. Will definitely play again.

Dangerous but Beautiful

Far too many blind shots. We were driven through several times. The group behind have no idea if your clear or searching for a ball. However the views from the course are stunning.

Great course - need to be accurate

We arrived having booked the tee times earlier but we were able to go out straight away. Looking at the course we hired a buggy and we were glad about that. Some very steep holes, the 3rd being the steepest. Lost our way a couple of times until we remembered the map we were given at the start! The greens are really good as is the fairways but the course is tight and the rough is difficult. Not really any flay stances anywhere. We really enjoyed the round, could have played better but the scenery is the best I have seen in golf, fab. Back at the clubhouse and we were looked after by Dorothea, who was excellent. She is a star, look after her Cockermouth! Definitely one for the bucket list golfers. When do you drive across a field of sheep to get to the fairway? If you get a chance play here, you will not regret it. We played just after some heavy rain so it was soft but even so still a good day.
