First time
I really liked the course cool layout and great condition. Good elevation changes loved the facilities and food.
Rayburn Resort
Awesome place I think the secret is now out, owner continues to prove he is going to make this Resort the best in Texas!
First timer at Rayburn
Played on July 31, 2023. My son and I met there and played. Had a great time and other than it just being so hot and dry the course was good. Played on a Tuesday so it was not busy at all. I like it that way.
Great experience
Love the course. Was a single player in front of us when we teed off and we never saw him again after the first hole. Nobody caught up to us either. First time in forever where we didn’t have to wait on someone to hit in front of us and nobody caught up to us. Fairways were in great shape. All the greens were too. Greens started slow early but dried out after the front nine. Probably one of the best east Texas courses around. Was in better shape than Tempest and not as expensive. Drove almost 3 hours to play it and will be back
Good but needs more detailed attention…
All is well except some of the greens need improvement, and the pin placements did not match up with the cart gps or the score card.
no courtesy to faster players
ON VACATION AT TOLEDO BEND AND FIRST TIME PLAYING THE COURSE SINCE CYPRESS BEND IS CLOSED. PLAYING SINGLE AND IT TOOK 8 HOLES BEFORE A FOURSOME ALLOWED ME TO PLAY THRU. CAUGHT UP TO A FIVESOME ON 15. THEY PLAYED SUPER SLOW INCLUDING LOOKING FOR GOLF BALLS WHICH WERE NOT THEIR OWN. NEVER ALLOWED ME TO PLAY THRU. BEVERAGE CART OPERATOR OFFERED ME A FREE CUP OF ICE ON THE 14TH HOLE AND IT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE WITH THE HEAT. THE WATER FROM THE COOLERS WAS NOT COLD. THE GOLF CARTS WERE REALLY NICE WITH BUILT IN GPS, SCORECARD AND MUSIC ACCESS AND THE ABSOLUTE BEST CUSHIONED SEATS.
Great course.
If you enjoy playing a course with some elevation changes, trees and challenging greens then this is the course for you. It’s hard to find courses like this in Texas. The price was great. Staff very friendly and the resort serves great food. Will definitely be back.
Rayburn Country
The course is in great shape. Greens were rolling true and had the course to ourselves. The staff was friendly and helpful. We’ll be back again.
