Well landscaped delightful design

Played at 4.30pm the sun came out and no one in front or behind. The greens are amazing, fast and true, a million miles from earlier reports. I only needed to play this small but fun course once to know I wanted to join and get fitter and improve my game.
The clubhouse has good beers, ciders and fresh orange juice. Food is reasonably priced.
Table service and compliant social distancing and PPE wearing is applauded.
Back to the golf the driver can be used on all par 4s but miss the fairway will cost you two shots. The par 3 fourth is difficult to hold the green and a well pitched but accurate shot left of the pond will roll around towards the hole.
The second 9 is the first nine played from different tees, however the elevated tee positions are spectacular and driving the ball well is like watching a shot unfold before you on television.

Hidden Gem where every drive makes you smile

This is a par 33 course of 9 holes, with a clever system of 18 tees.

Enjoyed the valleys and strategically placed water hazards, other fairways are cleverly hidden using landscaping but. A wayward shot may be recoverable presenting a most interesting recovery shot.

This course excels in its a feast to the eyes of greenery, well planted trees and there is a classy bar and restaurant with decently priced beers.

good course

My friend and i wanted a last minute game of golf so decided to go through Teeofftimes.co.uk and decided on a game at Darnford Moors at Lichfield, It was a windy but dry day and the course was in good condition for the time of year considering all of the rain we had in the days previously, it was even difficult to stop the ball on the greens which were fast for the time of the year but obviously because the course has a good drainage system and built on sandy type soil, it drains very well and is open nearly all year round. The staff were very pleasant indeed and we did not get held up on the course, only once we were behind a 4 ball for two holes, then we were called through. Even though this course is a 9 holer, you have some different tees to play from on the second 9.

Unsure

I have played this course several times. I was thinking of becoming a member but sadly seems to be going downhill the more I go.
Always seem to get a deal come here because always seems to be to expensive compared to better golf courses around.
It is a lovely set up course, two sets of 9 from different tees. Not long but is protected by bunkers , water and small greens which make it stragetic and actually really fun.
On my last visit the course looked neglected the greens even had weeds and the fairways was ok. We did have abit of rain and hoping this was a reason and because I love coming here I hope it is showed just abit more tlc.

Caught by surprise

This only a 9-hole course - this wasn't clear when I booked it. Some holes are quite close together and there was some fairway cross-over . Harder than it looks!

Disgraceful

Without doubt this course is in the worst condition of any I have ever played. The greens gave divots out of them and the "semi rough" is like a jungle. Unless there are some significant improvements I will never play there again. It's like playing on a farmers field.

Darnford Moors

The course was only a 9 hole course so had to play same holes twice for 18.Fairly straight forward course, the challenges are ponds and streams/ditches, greens could do with a bit more maintenance to remove the weeds and make them more receptive. Course maintenance could be improved it looked a bit neglected in places.
