Average experience
This course was very standard/predictable and extremely easy for someone of my ability (handicap 24, shot 16 over). The course itself was extremely dry with many of the holes bunched up together (back to back par 3s at one point). As a result it was a very slow round for a short course. What particularly annoyed me during my round were the green keepers who failed to turn off their engines and watched me play at least 3 holes Landscape, views and overall feel was average, greens were good.
Good course for walking
Great flat course for walking which is flat. Still some challenging holes which test all abilities!
Decent little track
We often play here as a second round of the weekend as it's short and flat. Front 9 can make you feel pretty good about your game but the back can bite a little. I'd suggest getting out there early doors as it can get busy with slightly less than proficient golfers past 9am and it's a tad pricey for what it is, later in the day. Greens could do with being a touch more receptive but pretty flat. Clubhouse one of the best around, good food, lovely staff and a really nice set up on a sunny day. If you're a single figure golfer then I doubt it's for you but all in all its a lovely little course.
Nice little club tucked away in the forest
Lovely little course , good driving range and restaurant facility
Nice course
Excellent short course if you want a quick round, seems to be improving all the time.
Course in poor condition
Bearing in mind that the green feed were £18 each this very poor value for money!
The course was generally in a poor condition & the greens were shocking!
They were very bumpy having just been spiked & some were bare in places
I would not recommend this course & will not play there again!
Enjoyable and Relaxed Day Out
Considering the recent weather the course was surprisingly dry and the greens were good. This is not a course for the serious competitive golfer but more for beginners, intermediates and seniors. I played with my father in law and he really enjoyed it as there was no pressure on him and he found the course enjoyable for his standard.
The welcome was very friendly and it had a very well stocked shop. We really enjoyed the back nine and the finishing hole really is a test!
Will definitely be back in the spring for another go.
