GROSS!!
No distinction between fairway and rough...it's ALL rough. Don't bother putting, as the greens are in horrific shape and don't give any consistency or feel. I honestly hit to the greens, picked up, and moved on. I get it I only paid $10.00 but I would never have gone knowing it was that bad...I hope someone comes in to change it. Location is primo.
Terrible condition
I have never seen a course in such bad shape. The greens were a disaster - weeds, clumps of sand, bare patches. The fairways looked OK from a distance-- but the grass had apparently been butchered by a drunk on a lawnmower - most of them 4-6 inches deep, we were losing balls hit into the fairway. Complete unplayable.
This course is a disgrace, and should be shut down if it is not going to be maintained. Avoid playing there at all costs.
Worst course I've played
Took a family meme bet that was in town for a quick 9 holes . By far the worst course I've played , tee boxes are non existent literally lost 3 balls in the middle of the fairway if you can call them that. There were weeds all over the green and sprouts of weeds playing defense around the lip of the cup. More sand on the greens then grass . Will not be going back anytime soon
Good for a little practice
Greens were almost non-existent--a little bit of grass here and there with a whole bunch of sand. It's was only a good value because I paid $9 to play 9 holes with a cart. I wouldn't pay the regular $16 to play there. Course has gotten much worse over the past three years.
Greens are still horrible
I played this course about a year or so ago, and I was told the greens were getting a total overhaul. I was hoping that this was the case, as this course is closer to my work. Unfortunately the greens still haven't even come close to being playable. Each green had its own issues, whether it was ant hills, tall patches of weeds, lmini-sand traps in the middle of the green, or chopped up sod patches. It's not a course you would play to gauge your putting. In fact, my playing partner and I kept it to two putt maxes to keep moving and not develop bad habits. It's really more for killing time if you'll be in the general area. Fairways weren't as bad compared to the greens, with decent short grass in the middle. There were some holes that the middle didn't necessarily mean a clean lie, but $9 including a cart is hard to beat. Paying more would be highway robbery.
I use this course to play vintage clubs-persimmon drivers and old school blades found in thrift shops. I hit a MacGregor Nicklaus "Golden Bear" driver 240 yards and it felt like hitting air! My hands still feel the mis-hit on hole 2 though!! This is a place to take a novice golfer to get a fairly pressure-free taste of golf etiquette without dropping a fortune. It's a quick 9 hole course with a few par 4s and one par 5, the rest are decent par 3s, the longest about 180 yds, the shortest at 115 or so. Depending on the starter, you can get out and in within an hour or so. The starter for that day had us wait 30 min for 1 guy!! No groups in front or behind us, but he still made us wait! Overall, a terrible course if your strength is your short game, but a "better than nothing" course if you have a long lunch break and you want to experiment with shots and/or clubs.
Very narrow fairways
Excellent for sharpening your accuracy. Will lose a lot of balls if you are not accurate with irons. Can only use driver on one or 2 holes at the most. Dont need putter as it is not worth putting on these bad greens.
Do not use golf now for this course
I am a regular golf now user but at this course it will cost you money. The golf now rate us the same as the actual rate. You end up paying an extra 2.50 for your round. I feel golf now is being dishonest in this case. But the course is nice. Mostly Par 3s but still nice.
Great Value
I booked here because I had 2 hours to kill in Gwinnett. This course was a great 9 Hole with a par 5 and a few par 4's sprinkled in. Almost no sand traps, but a few water hazards made things interesting. Only needed the driver twice. Mostly just irons and wedges. Pace of play was great because there were only 2 other pairs on the course. I will be back next week for sure.
You get what you pay for
The course is not of high quality...particularly the greens. I expected it would not be great given the low price but the upkeep still was lacking. Fun to do one of these courses now and then but other than some narrow fairways the course is easy. Maybe I would go back someday but do not recommend unless you are just beginning. Still had fun though that is what ultimately matters.
Needs some improvement to greens sand traps
For the price you get what you pay for but the greens had little grass and sand traps had eves dive weed growth
No Grass on Greens
Grass was not cut and limited grass on greens. Definitely a $10 course
It's ten bucks
The course is a little rough the design is pretty but the greens are very rough, and the bunkers have more weeds than sand but for quick nine holes for ten bucks I'll go back and play there again
Great value course
Very short course with nice layout between the Pines. Course is poorly maintained, greens are in very poor shape but the design and course layout is very good. Great practice course for the $15 green fee and f you just want to "swing your clubs" and be outside on a beautiful day. NOT an accurate test of your putting skills.
Good for the money!!
$10 for 9 + cart is a great value. Course is a bit rough as the Fairways have not come in yet and the greens had little grass so they were difficult to judge speed. If you want to get some practice off the tee, some Fairway work(after finding a spot to roll the ball to) and realizing what you're getting for 10 bucks, give it a go. Have been here several times and never had any issues with crowds. Fair amout of water so be sure you have enough bullets in the bag.
Bad greens
Most greens had sod repair patches. Only played 9 holes. As a executive course I guess it's an ok course but I wouldn't recommend it.
