Marple Golf Club

Not played here for a a year or so. Drainage on the fairways so much better. Weather wise, It was dry when we played. It was firm in the old boggy bits where it used to be tough, which was a massive thumbs up
Greens immaculate and ran amazing and tricky.
Lay out is brilliant with lots of holes to get you thinking.
Overall great place to play golf

Only 3rd course we have played since taking up golf. Was perfect for us. Could see where our balls landed every time unlike the other courses we have been on. When we booked in the guy in the pro shop was very helpful. Will be booking again in the future

Loved every minute!

Plenty of verity on each hole round the course. Good well kept greens. Looked like they were doing plenty of work for 2025 so I look forward to playing here a few more times over the spring/summer.

Course was a bit muddy in places, but generally ok considering it's the middle of winter, greens in good condition, we had a great round, tho 2 holes were closed.

The overall course condition was very good after a snowy and icy period.
The greens were excellent with only one Winter green.
It turned very cold so we only played 14 holes.
This has become a better course in recent years to very good course management and care.
Hole 2, par 3, is great. The 18th though is a par 5 hard slog and not very interesting.
The course and club is recommended.

Course in excellent condition, greens were quick. Couple of tees difficult to find as first timers! Friendly staff, nice clubhouse too.

First time playing Marple. Have to say its one of the nicest courses in the area. Well looked after, great staff and a good pace of play. The course itself is challenging without being overwhelming. Suitable for any golfer.

Enjoyed playing the course. It was nice and flat and well maintained.

Played this course a few times now. A lot of ‘quirky’ holes, plays quite long and makes you think about every shot

Marple was in excellent condition and the greens were a real test of golf, fast and true. Whoever is managing this course is doing an excellent job, well done.!

Not the longest but certainly a good test for all levels of golfer. Easy walking with some stunning views. Arrived on time and went out on time. Finished in under 3.5 hours. I would recommend this course

Great course with views that overlook the whole Manchester skyline. Was constantly surprised by the really nice features and challenges dotted about on the course like fountains, duck ponds and bridges. Only negative I could give is that if your ball lands in the rough from a drive, you have a very slim chance of finding it as even in May the ball plugged deep in what is rather deep rough! Lost 4 balls just from drives that were definitely playable but disappeared as soon as it landed, but hey it is Manchester I suppose!
Oh, and drove the back of the green on a short 260yd par 4!

Overall, extremely good value for money on a hot deal. Would’ve even looked into being a member if I lived closer.
