A gem of a course.
Northcliffe is one of the best courses in the Bradford area. A great mix of holes and an outstanding signature hole 18.
Nice layout , friendly staff , great food , very poor greens
Heard good things about this course and from what I'd seen on YouTube looked decent with some quirky holes.
There was only 2 of us and we were out behind a 4 ball who were so slow , stood around in the fairway having conversations and hacking it around , every hole we were stood waiting and couldn't get any flow to our game. The course conditions were OK apart from the greens which were some of the worst I've played on they were in really poor condition and I know it's winter but even for winter time they were dreadful pot holes everywhere you just had to hit and hope with putts , along with the slow play they really spoilt our day. The first and 18th holes are the feature holes of the course really quirky. The highlight of our day was the food in the bar afterwards top class and really friendly staff. Would I play here again yes but only if major improvements were made to the greens not worth the £22 we paid in current condition.
Heavy overnight rain had made the course too wet in places and green had been hollow tyned which ment that they were in poor condition
But good weather at least meant it was a good walk
nice course. couple of really good holes. played in 40mph winds, and still enjoyed
What a gem
The course layout is great with a great variety of holes from dog legs to blind tee shots. The conditions were to be expected for this time of year with it being a bit wet in places but nothing that you wouldn’t expect the only thing I could say was a few of the greens were a bit rough but they certainly didn’t spoil the enjoyment. The 1st hole is impressive as is the last and are worth the green fee alone, the staff were very friendly and helpful as were the other players on the course we spoke to. We will definitely be going back here.
Great find
Found the course to be in very good condition, tee beds, fairways and greens all looking very good, the greens are running very true. The course overall is very good some course knowledge in the first couple of holes would have been useful but playing here the first time it was all unknow, little tip on the second if you back yourself you can go over the trees and there is plenty of room so don’t panic. Haven’t played may course over the Yorkshire boarder but I would strongly recommend this one.
18th hole is alittle beauty of a par 3
What a cracking course ,from tee off on the first then having to walk over the bridge to get to fairway. To coming to the 18th par 3 in front of the clubs House.. In between challenging holes that make you think.Everybody who I have met ,being on the course or around the club have been so friendly. Definitely one of my favourite courses. Definitely value for money.
Great Course
Little gem of a course, great lay out and a gorgeous little par 3 to finish with infant of club
Excellent
Played again here as they do great early morning deals £20 for 18 holes as I always like to play between 6am and 7am so it's a great price for a great course it's a shame other courses dont follow northcliffes example of not charging full price for a time when not many people are using the course so well done for that and will definitely be back to play this great course
A* Course, D- Staff
First time playing Northcliffe and we’ll start with the positives first. As someone who lives nearby, wow what a golf course. Condition of this course, the challenge of it and the variation is nothing short of class. On this basis I’d recommend it however there are some frustrations.
1) You can’t hire a buggy after 2pm, which in summer is ridiculous. Excuse I was given was there would be nobody in to lock them up yet the clubhouse bar was open when the round finished. This is nonsense. If you are paying normally £40+ a round, I expect to have access to buggy’s for twilight golf in summer.
2) Staff member in pro shop was miserable. Again not good for the prestige of the course.
3) Value for money excellent but I got a deal for £25 for twilight golf, if I’d have paid full price I’d have been more than frustrated about the guest experience.
4) Course could do with better signage for where the next holes are.
Overall would recommend, purely on the course: rest room for improvement!
