Unfortunately, due to the amount of rain we had we were unable to play on Saturday 24th February.
I was contacted by the pro at Oxley Park to inform me early in the morning which allowed me to book an alternative venue.
However, I'm still awaiting Golf now to refund my money.
Nice & Damp
Unfortunately when we played the course had not fully recovered from the rain from the day before and was a little boggy . Also the greens were not in great condition and the flags were all at the front of the greens. Otherwise nice layout and friendly staff / members
Muddy day in Wolvo.
Always like playing here. Course was a bit boggy, but still in good condition. Great value for money, pace of play was a slow. Other than that I was an OK round.
Can’t believe we’ve not played here before
Tucked away down a small driveway off a main road, this course really is a hidden gem.
Really friendly welcome in the pro shop, plenty of drinks & snacks to stock up on for your round.
The course is quite challenging. The fairways are tree lined- and you really need to just take your medicine and get yourself back on the fairway when you land in them.
The greens were fast and some very undulating. A real challenge, which we loved.
Only small niggle was the fluffyness (if that’s a word?!) of some of the aprons around the greens. But I think the recent weather may have made them too wet to mow.
Friendly welcome in the clubhouse afterwards, we’ll definitely be returning.
Definitely better courses in Wolverhampton

The onus is on driving accuracy. Course in good condition.
A damp day out.
Course was a bit boggy in places, which isn't surprising considering the recent weather. Course was playing very long due to the damp conditions. Still the course was in great condition. Very friendly members and pro shop. No hold ups and really enjoyed my round.
Oxley Park
A little disappointed really as we were not informed that there were a couple of holes not open because of trees falling down . We still had to pay full price . Think the course would be excellent in summer months but you still need to take care of winter . Challenging course with tree lined fairways . Bunkers were excellent unfortunately went in a few . Greens some were damaged due to birds after the worms . Generally a nice course .
Oxley
Yet again great day out, course is always maintained to a great standard, and the food was excellent thanks and deffo see you soon
A gem of a course but a little wet
We have played here many times and love this course, unfortunately it was very wet under foot in certain areas and we got stuck behind a very slow 4 ball, but all in all value for money and the gentleman in the pro shop was very friendly and very helpful
Nice city centre course
Always a pleasure to play this course. Can't fault it at all, with all the bad weather this summer the course was in great condition. Really enjoyed my round, very quiet, so pace of play was very good. Highly recommend this course to anyone on Golf now.
Challenging course
Whilst the course is typically short, it’s a narrow course which makes it challenging, trees either side on most holes. Ground conditions were very damp which made it soft and difficult to play on. Greens were very heavy and lacked good drainage.
Winter game
First game this year, considering the time of year the course was in good condition. Only one temporary green, but tees all off mats. Really enjoyed my round.
First round in a while
First time I had played here for some time. Winter conditions with front of / temporary greens. Good value for money and nice course. Condition of course very good considering poor recent weather.
Green keepers day off
Heavy going under foot, which was made more discouraging when I’d hit my ball of the fairway only to not be able to find it due to the absurd amount of leaf clutter, the greens shouldn’t have been in play as most were waterlogged, and that didn’t get any better when the rain started coming down on the back nine, when I must admit I’d given up the ghost and threw in the towel
Can't get much better for the price
Second time playing this course and thoroughly enjoyed it again. Was quite quiet when we played so no hold-ups in play. Course was in perfect condition and played very nicely. Not a particularly difficult course (fairways are very wide and forgiving) but there is still a lot of variety and each hole gives you something to think about. You'd struggle to find a better course for this price in the area. Great clubhouse/bar too which is open til late. Will definitely be back
A gem.
Played once before not been able to since lockdown' price was pretty good so took the opportunity to play again and wasn't disappointed' greens were excellent' obviously the fairways were a little brown but who's aren't.
It is a bit of a jaunt for us but would play more often for £25.
