Poor course

Dependent on what you are looking for this course is very poor quality greens were shocking it was like putting on bobbly fairways. Staff were very friendly. Layout was okay has more potential if looked after better, if you are a beginner that does not have no standards then play here basically as is the cheaper end but you can see why.

Splendid staff, good value course.

Tricky Ricky was one of a few courses that was actually open because of this never ending rain.
Considering this, it was in good condition.
The staff were great, helpful, lovely people.

I have a question, why do (likely other fellow Golfers) discard their empty beer cans in the hedge, shame on you if you think that attitude is ok. Tricky Ricky had many examples.

Wet Day

When surrounding roads are flooded, you know it’s gonna be a slog!!! However, I have to say that apart from a few tacky tee boxes and wet greens, the course played great for the weather conditions. You could quite clearly see that the course was looked after and it’s lay out is always a good test.

Good potential, poorly maintained

Tricky and fun layout to the course which is a shame as it is so poorly maintained. Most tee shots were blind which isn’t always great. Avoid this course in the winter as it is SUPER MUDDY! Greens were in awful condition, most bunkers were full of old grey sand and leaves everywhere. Even after a good tee shot, I had to drop a ball on the fairway as there were so many leaves that I couldn’t find my ball. My first and last visit for sure. Definitely not worth the £30.

Great course despite weather

Brilliant course, a bit boggy in places due to rain throughout the week but nothing to complain about.

Some very challenging par 3’s but overall really enjoyable. Will be back soon.

Not a £25 round

Played here with a friend as central to us both. The course itself was quite fun & definitely a lot harder than the yardage might suggest! Staff & members very friendly, however course conditions certainly didn’t warrant the £25 green fee. Members we spoke to agreed this was far too much. No fault of the course, however we were also stuck behind the slowest 2 ball (who could actually play golf?!), which dampened our experience further. Friendly & fun course but should be priced £10-15 (certainly in winter anyway).

Good value, cheap round for 18 holes. Early morning round, course was busy even at 7am. Pro shop not open so no scorecard. Short but hilly course. Very impressed with the course on the front 9, but the back 9 not as impressive.

Fun little course - Incredibly Slow

This course is a fun little layout. Tee boxes need some work and are bare in patches. Some holes slightly short but good mix of Par 3s on this course requiring a PW up to 3/4 iron.

But, it was ridiculously slow. It was clear that one three ball shouldnt be allowed on the course. No idea of etiquette and backing groups up. I'm all for people enjoying golf but they must understand that pace of play needs to be increased.

The slowest round of golf in my life

Old stubborn members not allowing groups to play through ruined the day. 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes is simply not acceptable! It ended up with three groups waiting to tee off on the 11th hole, where we had to call it a day as it got too much.

Old boys ruining golf.

Great value with some interesting holes!

Great value course. Challenging despite being a short yardage.

Play was slightly slow due to the course being busy and some players let themselves down. Our bags were hit by golf balls from the players behind us on more than one occasion with no shout.

Tee boxes could be in better condition but apart form that a lovely course - shame about some of the other players!

Mr lan Pocock

A most enjoyable experience, we were a four ball playing for the first time, fairways were in good condition as were the greens, although we all struggled with their pace which we found fast, look forward to the next round playing their.

Tricky Ricky

Lives up to its name. Challenging but not the longest course by its history and design made worse by the fog, but always a good track to play.
