Stanmore Golf Club

Played in the end of January and this course was in excellent condition. The fairways were cut well and playing like it was Spring as they are so well drained.
Very friendly club. Great course to visit.

I played this course after reading positive reviews after seeing reviews about it playing well with winter conditions and scoring really highly on golfnow. Unfortunately, despite it being the hottest day of the year to date and not having as much rain as prior weeks it was very wet underfoot, with all but a few drives plugging.
The greens looked to have been aerated a few weeks ago and not cut or rolled since, causing them to be pretty unplayable with huge bobbles and 6”+ deviations on putts only a few feet long.
The layout is reasonable and if this course was maintained/ manicured appropriately then it could possibly justify the higher cost it charges compared to others in the area on golfnow, however, after playing a number of others in recent weeks they all played much better, were better maintained, and solid under foot, whilst being 40% less cost.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Maybe I’m peak summer a better experience would be had

Availed of a hot deal for £23.99. For the course layout and course condition great value for money. Really nice track fairways and greens in great condition. Practice nets with putting and chipping area by the club house. A few uphill holes depending on age/health might need a trolley but then a few downhill to even it out the rest flat.

Highly recommend especially if you can avail of a hot deal price.

Played only 9 on a very cold day but course was packed and lively. Staff and members were welcoming. Would love to play 18 when it’s a little warmer !

Very hilly which adds a challenge to a player new to the course.

Looks and feels an expensive golf club as you enter the facilities and approach the 1st tee,. Tight course which you would expect in a residential area, what I didn’t expect was the elevation of a good few holes that makes the course very interesting, had a few temporary tees that spoilt the experience a little bit but very keen to visit in the summer in its full glory, cost was very good for condition and location.

Great course in magnificent condition. Greens are pro standard and so is the food! A must play if you're in or around London. 5 stars 🌟

The course was in good condition. It is a good layout. It was looking attractive in the good weather. Unfortunately the pace of play is a huge issue, which detracted considerably from the enjoyment of the round. This is much more of an issue at this club than at most others of similar quality in the surrounding areas.

Great course and staff. Unfortunately play was very slow. Course in great condition apart from 13 with a temp Green in place but no effect to cut grass back and even make it green like. Will play here again

Stunning course with wide open fairways and raised tee boxes. Mature oaks adorning the fairways and greens. Too many people waiting on the tees however, same as other reviews.
