Great Value For Money
Very enjoyable course on a common. Some very challenging holes particularly the Par 3 3rd across heavy rough to a sunken green. Excellent value for money and friendly staff.
Short parkland 9 hole course
We booked for18 holes but only played nine due to monsoon conditions. That said some parts of the course were not too bad but others were treacherous. Worst part were holes 6 and 7 which are on their own over a road.
Greens were in good condition and better than when we played before.. Despite the incessant rain
there were no puddles on these.
Clubhouse had a huge television and a good choice of beer. Extremely friendly staff and lovely bacon sandwiches
First time playing
Went out by myself today and would’ve been better having someone with me as some of the tee offs I had to find. Great course for a starter or if your getting back into playing with some nice big open fairways. Greens could do with some work and tee’s are extremely dry. Would recommend tho and good value for money.
bring extra golf balls
the course is interesting though quite a lot of rough and penalty trees, morr time spent on searching balls expected.
Very Poor Layout
The course was well kept and the holes were good in general. However, it’s disappointing that it was just the same 9 holes repeated rather than a full 18.
The midway hole crossover which is back to back is unplayable if busy, we were in front of 2 4-ball learner groups and they flooded the shared fairway, there is simply not enough space.
On top of this, hole 3 is barely playable due to a more or less non existent fairway.
Too over sold to enjoy.
Better signage required
Very confusing course in that you are playing on to the same hole from separate tees in order to stretch this course to an 18 holer. This is fine, but the course conditions are really poor and the signage is awful, so you may spend a lot of time looking for the next hole as I did.
Friendly Staff, Terrible Course
The general public walking everywhere so constantly have to wait, no Marshall so tee times weren’t spread out enough causing backlog, 4 holes share the same fairway so you are quite literally hitting at other golfers.
Worst layout I’ve ever played. It’s cheap, but still not worth it, save your money. Should really only be a 9 hole course.
The course was ok, needs attention
This course has a lot of potential but needs more up keep, being very open means this must be hard so I do understand the difficulty.
As I fairly new golfer we were constantly being harassed by other golfers that had and we’re still drinking on the course, we asked them to play through but they refused and carried on complaining so our game was very rushed and less enjoyable.
Great to be back
It's so good ot be back playing social golf!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, even sharing details about the local pub on the 6th hole.
It's such a social links course that the extended walk from the 2nd to 3rd hole is more like a quirk than a fault.
The best bit was the cold beers at the end in front of the clubhouse, but looking forward to the crowd returning outside Marney's Village Inn!
Staff were friendly
Played here for the first time on Saturday. Course was in a very poor state very little difference between rough and fairway in places. Was glad to get out with my mate but won't play here again.
