Torrance Park - holes reduced

I paid for & travelled 25miles to play a new 18hole course, only to find it had been reduced to 9 holes some months beforehand!
Golf Now have been informed by the golf course of this reduction but still advertise it as 18 holes.
I feel cheated & have overpaid

NOT 18 ANYMORE

I paid for 18 holes, but this course has been down to 9 holes for at least 5 months !!
No one at check-in said it was now down to 9 & the 2 cards they gave us had a map on the back with 18 holes mapped out!
We asked what else we needed to know - but the young lad who checked us in said "nothing"

Course has recently changed to 9 hole from 18, staff were helpful and friendly. Practice facilities 2 netting cages good nets but mats could do to be replaced

Practice putting green not great but the course greens more than made up for it fair and true roll on course

Current 9 holes are a good mix of lengths to use most of the clubs and a par 36

Now only 9 holes

Booked for 18 holes, on arrival was informed that the course was now only 9 holes.
Offered a refund but had booked for 18.
Directions from the staff want the best. The course was not sign posted on what holes you could now play.
Will not book here again,

Not an 18

This course does not have 18 holes as advertised. The signage/card and course layout is completely different from the 4th hole onwards.

We booked as an 18 but had to play 2 9's

9 hole course

Poor lay out, not told its a 9 hole course, given a map at the clubhouse of 18 holes, couldnt find the next tee box as went from 4th to 13th, paid for 18 holes on this and didnt even finish the 9. I dont mind laying more for a 9 hole course if its a good course but really not worth the money

Also directions on maps are wrong spent about 15 mins trying to find the place as this takes you to the greenkeepers house which is a closed gate at the wrong end of the course

Severely disappointed

This review is directed at Golf Now and NOT Torrence Park. When I arrived at the clubhouse I was informed by the receptionist that Torrence Park was now a 9 hole course and not an 18 holes course as advertised by Golf Now and subsequently charged for by Golf Now, despite the course informing them of its changed status on numerous occasions by email.

I was extremely disappointed to find out on my arrival that the proprietors of Torrence Park had undertaken to sell a substantial section of the site for development, which meant that many of the feature holes that I had enjoyed playing previously were now gone, never to return.

Had I known this in advance of booking my tee off time through Golf Now I would definitely have selected a different course to play. I can state categorically that I will never play Torrence Park again.

While I only have the word of the receptionist at Torrence Park to rely on that the Club informed Golf Now of its changed status by email, it has nevertheless made me very reticent of using this website in future as they clearly do not update their customer facing information to provide a reliable and informed choice to customers at the point of booking tee off times.

Very disappointed with Golf Now. Must do better if you wish to retain this customers patronage.

Best course in the area. Shame it's cutting down to a 9 hole course soon. Will be back to check it out though.

Torrance Park

This course used to be fantastic summer 18 hole course. It’s now in process of being changed to a 9 hole course. Course is being totally changed at present. Greens ripped up and tractors/ diggers around course. Wouldn’t advise anyone to pay to play it just now.
