My buddies and I really enjoy this course. Great staff, sufficiently challenging course with good practice facility. They are in the process of building the clubhouse, and I anticipate it will be a nice location for post-round beers. Highly recommend!

One of the best golf courses in this area. The greens had just been aerated, but still were in very good condition. Great value for the cost.

I played the blended tees alone on a hot Sat. afternoon. The course is plush and green right now. It's open, almost barren, but the bunkers, thick(ish) rough and wind definitely come into play. The greens were a bit slower than they have been in the past but I imagine they're a lot healthier b/c of it. It made chipping and putting easier too. If you've thought about playing CGCC, now's a good time.

Nice course in great condition, it's fairly new so they are still adding some water features which will add to the challenge which is already a pretty stiff test. It feels pretty long from the blue tees so the whites may be a better proposition for average players. The layout is pretty spread out with reasonably long distances between some of the holes but as your not walking it's no big deal. The clubhouse is under construction so there are limited temporary off course facilities but that will change when the clubhouse is completed. Well worth playing and look forward to playing there again soon.

The course conditions were spectacular. Greens moderately fast and true, fairways and tee boxes nicely manicured. This course plays pretty forgiving, given the wide fairways and large greens. One of my favorite courses in Central FL.

Playing a FSGA one day event the next day, so wanted a look at the course. Greens and fairways were outstanding!!

Staff was professional and friendly. The Marshals are a little bit too controlling and overbearing...but doing their job ... or maybe more than needed. A little customer training?

No clubhouse just a trailer, but OK.

The course seems a bit wide open, but the greens are very challenging for putting. Even a short putt has to be grinded due to grain and subtle breaks. Felt like I should break 80 and shot 85. I like it and will recommend it plus come back. Have these very wide and long drainage areas where a free drop is given, but they are frustrating as you can't see them especially on # 10. You can hit a perfect 3wood for your second shot and end up in that environmental mess. I would make them OB and have it noted on scorecards. As it is a good shot is penalized on #10 and a really bad shot is given a free drop.

Overall an enjoyable and interesting course.

Get the clubhouse built and they will come!!

ChampionsGate Country Club is open to the public now, but eventually will become a private course once enough real estate has been sold in the development. It is a wide open resort style layout and offers large greens, wide fairways and big bunkers that in many cases are not in the line of play.

Course conditions are superb and the greens roll true at a medium-fast speed. The practice area includes a large putting/chipping green and a water range with targets along the shores of the lake. The clubhouse is still in a trailer, but a full time clubhouse is under construction.

I found the first 8 holes to be quite boring, with wide open fairways and not much in the way of memorable holes. Things start to change a bit on #9, a par 5 that doglegs around a huge oak and fairway bunker. The back nine has more character than the front, introducing some elevation changes and interesting water hazards to the mix as you travel through the growing real estate development.

I enjoyed the course overall, and the playing conditions were superb. While it isn't the most memorable design or the most challenging course in the area, it's fun to play, especially for the bombers. Get out and play this course before it goes private in a few years.

This was a very nice course for the price I paid compared to most courses I play in Georgia for more money. The pace of play was exceptional as I never waited all day. The course condition including greens were great. I rated off-course amenities fair because it appears that the club house has not been built yet as they were in a tiny trailer. Not sure if this was temporary but it didn't bother me as I didn't hang around the 19th hole too long.

I play courses all over Orlando and this was my first time playing Champions Gate CC. Booked online and was very happy they warned of aerification before booking. Most courses won't tell you before you show up to play. But it had been a week and a half, with lots of rain, so I took my chances and I'm glad I did. Range balls were included with the cost and I hit my share to warm up. Got paired up with a good guy named Paul from the U.K. and with a quick overview from the starter, Gordy, off we went. There were some two's and three's out in front of us so we played pretty fast. The greens were a little bumpy still but not bad at all. The course was in perfect shape otherwise. No brown spots, no bare areas and no wet areas despite the rains. We finished up in about 3 1/2 hours. There were some long drives between holes but not a big deal, we weren't walking.

There's no big clubhouse yet but that's not what brings me back to a golf course. It's the way they take care of the course and how they treat their guests that matters to me. This has already become one of my favorite courses and I will be back every chance I get. You should absolutely do the same!

For my first time playing the course, I was extremely pleased. Even though the greens were punched, they held decent speed and rolled true.

The layout was very fair with wide landing areas. Very easy to keep the ball in play, even though the primary rough held a slight penalty for missing the fairway.

We ran into a freak storm towards the end of the round which allowed for some great photo opportunities. We did our best to remain safe and still finish the round.

The clubhouse is a trailer and the cart barn is a tent so there is room from improvement on amenities but I understand they're building a neighborhood and that becomes priority. Plus it allows for them to keep the course up to its current standards.

All in all, we had a fantastic day and I really enjoyed the layout. I'll definitely be back!

Been hearing great things about this course for some time now so finally decided to try it out. Very nice staff and tee boxes, fairways & bunkers (found myself in one a bit too often) were in great shape. Greens rolled very true at what I would consider medium speed. Loved the par 5 home hole. Will definitley add this course to my local rotation.

Played it early in the AM. Pricing is fair for last minute tee time. On course service is sparse but okay. No club house but adequate temporary facility. Strange practice facility, too much water and not enough targeting areas. Course plays fairly easy and very visible. Very good greens...large and fairly paced. Overall a very satisfactory experience and recommend it for golfers from beginner to intermediate ability.

Played twice a few days after course /greens had been dressed , but it was in great condition.Greens ran well. Several tees at each hole, so play to suit your own ability. Not too much water -thank goodness ! Got round in under 4 hours -not bad as course was quite busy. Some distance between holes -but on holiday, so no rush.

No real clubhouse -facilities in Pro shop sparse but adequate. Staff all very polite and helpful.
