The course is beautiful with quite a set of different structured holes. A must play course but one you want to play without some course knowledge, too many holes that have specific target areas that you need to know about or a perfect shot becomes a bad one. This day they had way overbooked the course for a no carts on the fairway set up. Fairways were cut long and greens were slow. Slow play made it not just difficult but downright frustrating. 5 plus hour round and we played after 12. Not good. Will try again and see if they learned to give more time.

The Victory course required huge amounts of rock to be quarried and moved to shape the terrain. That rock now lies alongside the fairways where it forms a formidable hazard to errant shots. The fairways however are very wide. The greens are small but have generous margins for error and relatively few green-side bunkers.

We played when the course reopened after over-seeding. Fairways were beautiful; greens were still quite rough and slow.

The location of this course is further up Verrado Way, past the Founders course, past the indian school rd. straight through the round about and you will see the clubhouse to the right.

Great practice range and putting green .

They just finished their seeding program so it was cart path only....that sucked. Made pace of play a little slow. Took 4:45 to play 18. But the fairways and greens were in excellent condition.

Unlike the desert surroundings of the founders course, this course has a manmade rock and boulder surrounding. Fairways and some greens are undulating, and there are risk reward tee boxes.

Fairways were generous, greens were a little slow but for the most part very straight.....even on putts that look like they should break, they didn't or did very little. Greens were average size but lots of false fronts and backs, some guarded by bunkers so you want to try to land in the middle most times.

Water stations at odd number holes and cart girl was very quick. She had food as well such as hotdogs. Better to get the hotdog from the cart girl as the grille at the turn was really slow....they need to improve that for golfers who want a quick bite at the turn.

We loved this course and look forward to golfing it again on our next holiday to Phoenix.

Only two days open when I played. Course was perfect condition. Smoothest greens I have ever played on. Fairways interesting and varied. Only problem was it was CART PATH ONLY for the entire round. Took just over 5 hours to play. Won't be back until that stops. Thought I had played 18 holes by the 10th tee! Too old to do that again.

Beautiful course! Amazing views, great lay out and a fair challenge. Course is based at the feet of the White Tank mountains with natural rock features abound. Like being on the moon. Hole 18 is one of the best finishing holes I've ever played. Staff, Mark and Frank are awesome. A must play.....

New course in the middle of a rock quarry. A little miss and your ball is gone. Lots of construction and cart paths rough. Taking course out of summer lineup. Just didn't fit my eye.

WOW,this is a golf course, kinda push up bunkers all around, perfect greens slower than they look, very interesting layout with lots of different looking holes play the one up tees the first time to get used to the layout, yardages on sprinklers but it seemed longer look at the pin placements on the card, what seems to be a small landing area is bigger than it seems, every hole is interesting to play , to gauge breaks in the greens look at several different sides not every thing breaks off the mountains..Too bad it is gonna close on 5-21-2017 for the summer

They must have cleared a billion tons of huge bolders to build this course and they were all piled up along side the fairways. Go to the Victory web site and view the flyover feature to see what I mean. It's a brand new course so the condition was perfect. I didn't see one did divot or ball mark anywhere. Has a wide variety of hazards from bolders to water to huge undulations in the fairways. I'm sure you'll score much better the second time you play it. I didn't like the cart path routing. It wandered all over the place and didn't always end up near the green. Over all it's a very entertaining golf course and one you'll be talking to your friends about after you play it.

Well I played Victory Golf course in early May and I'll have to say it, very very impressed. About an hour straight west of South Scottsdale. As the previous reviews stated there's quite a bit of construction which didn't at all effect my experience overall. Right from the get go the range was fantastic with barely any divots and looked better than most high end private courses. Golf pro and starter were nice enough and gave us some instruction and overview. Course was in almost a perfect 10 shape, tee boxes, fairways, and greens were flawless. Greens were quick but not too fast. Played the Black/Silver combo which stretched almost 7000 yards. I hit the ball pretty far and the course was pretty forgiving off the tee. Love the rock formations around the course and strategically placed near some fairways. Pace of play was just fine until we hit a few foursomes near the end that slowed us down, but I wasn't concerned. From some of the tip tee boxes it was semi difficult to know exactly where to aim, but overall I hear people crying that they didn't know exactly where to hit their shot. Relax tour pro there was plenty of grass to each side of each fairway. Again really enjoyed this place and will be back. Lastly, 99 bucks is a touch steep but for how nice the conditions were you knew where the extra few bucks were spent.

For a new course it was in good shape. Still work to be done. It is a little too tricked out but not all that tough.

Should be nice in the future and I will play it again but, I still recommend the Founders course over Victory.

Fun layout but if there was ever a course where you need GPS or a yardage book, this one is it. Right now GPS is unavailable. So many blind tee shots, you lose a lot of strokes because you just don't know where to aim. Obviously amenities will be there when they finish construction, but one issues is the huge inconsistency between the speed on the practice greens and the speed on the course. Huge differences made it very difficult to kiddie putts all day, slow or fast, I don't care but make them the same
