The perfect course for walkers like me.
Shadow Mountain is a classic executive course design that is challenging and lends itself to walking. A flat track with well placed hazards offers a comfortable pace of play of 3 1/2 hours. The fairways and greens are well managed. I am very picky about greens, and SM has challenging with moderate to fast greens that run true. I can't say enough about this course.
Golf Course
Excellent course. Not too challenging. Fairways Wide. Greens a little slow and bumpy. Perfect course for new golfer or senior. Highly recommend to others.
Slow motion
The group ahead had a 2 hole gap in front of them. Never did see a Marshall. Have golf here on several occasions and it is always slow.
Hidden gem
Pace of play was perfect. Course in great condition and friendly staff.
Great friendly course
A little on the short side but small well protected greens. Really great time will be back.
Very enjoyable!
Always enjoy visiting the course, as the staff and new amenities, club house are so good. Views are excellent too!
Price of golf there is very reasonable. Yes, this is a resort course, with homes along the fairways. And the fairways can run very tight and parallel to each other., So any errant shot means yell "fore"., and apologize to the homeowner. At times the cart path will have carts going both directions. No worries, you can figure it out. Just play smart and safe, and have fun! We did. Thanks!.
Fun course
This is a cute course with a fun atmosphere. Staff was very nice. Geoff the starter gave me some hints which were helpful. It’s a short track that weaves back and forth around the holes. You are surrounded by the mountains and lots of houses. Enjoyed playing and wished I could have stayed to check out Geno’s bar
No Course Marshall
I'd like to retract my comments I made as the General Manager called me and made things right.
Please email me to confirm my review has been deleted.
Thank You!
No Course Marshall
I've played the course many times this year.
Yesterday as I was waiting in the 11th fairway I was struck with a tee shot off the 16th tee box.
I fell to the ground. regained my composure and lost about 3 minutes of play.
On the 12th I had a good drive just inside the large tree on the left when we heard a bang rattle off the fenced area. I turned around and waved my clubs basically saying can't you see us. They yelled HURRY UP. We were waiting for the group in front of us to clear the green. No apologies nothing. I called the Pro shop to send someone out. they did. We got thru the 13th hole and with them right across from us (we are the 14th) they started yelling again at us. Called the Pro shop and they sent someone out again. What was discussed........I DON'T KNOW. I was never asked or nothing. That was our second call in for unfriendly players behind us. They SHOULD have been escorted off the course....NO, they played behind us the rest of the way. There would have been a brawl if they had intentionally over clubbed and drove their balls into the 17th tee.
We are very disappointed in how the altercation was handled, not professional at all. Hoppy knows me, I'm Hopper and we may never golf there again. The couple we were paired up with mentioned one of the two men behind us were possibly good friends of Chris in the Pro Shop. That makes it even more unprofessional.
You NEED a Marshall.
Time Warp
Fun little course from the 50’s with good conditioning and quirky routing. The few members in front of me let me through so I buzzed around in just over two hours and was done by 9. The guy who lives next to the 12th tee box gave me a brownie (normal brownie) and it was perfect. Loved the mid-century bungaloes all around the course. All these positives actually made up for today’s crappy hook swing, and I will come back again with my wife who will really like this one.
I will try to leave the hook swing at home, along with my driver, which is not useful here. It actually should be played with wood clubs and a balata ball. And a Billy Baroo style blade putter.
The course is very user friendly
The course is designed for the average weekend type player. Fairways are wide and there is very little break on the greens. Most bunkers don't come into play the staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the happy hour prices after our round in a very pleasant tropical designed outdoor area. I highly recommend this course.
