10th tee Photo submitted by rsluther on 02/18/2013
As always, great conditioned course with huge greens.
One of my Northbay favorites. Always in great condition.
First time play and it is a great course.
RSGC is in good condition and well managed. it is at the top of best public courses I have played. Interesting terrains and large greens. It’s very playable, not extremely difficult, yet certainly not boring. Scenery is wonderful on a Spring day. Highly recommended.
Tee boxes are lumpy and pace of play is as fast as molassas
Title says it all. You should never have to read a tee box, but get ready to if you’re playing here. They’re lumpy and most of the time you’re hitting off of an uneven surface. Also the Marshals do absolutely nothing to improve the pace of play. Lots of high handicappers putting like they’re in the masters
Great conditions
First time playing this course and it quickly became one of my favorite courses in the area. The course is in excellent condition and the greens were rolling quick and true. The greens are huge with lots of undulation so approach shots are key. The fairways were a little wet/saturated because of the recent rains but I’m guessing soon they will be perfect after a couple dry days. All in all, fantastic course and will definitely play again soon
Love the course, loathe the pace
Rancho Solano is a well conditioned, well run golf course. I am a quick player - so you already know where I'm going with this. I can walk most 18 hole courses in under 3 hours (maybe not Lake Chabot, though I did walk it 3 times in one day when I was younger), so when rounds push over 5 hours it really frustrates me. It was a Saturday, and a club event, so I empathize with management on how to improve this aspect of public golf.
A very nice golf course in Solano County
This golf course is maintained perfectly. The course is perfect even though after a period of heavy rain. I love to play this course.
great course but rained days prior
love the course, a bit challenging, tough pin placement... wouldve been a 5/5 but the course got some rain in the days leading up to our round making it pretty muddy through the fairways and was a cart path only day.
Great golf day on a wet golf course
The necessary card path only requirements, slow down the pace of play, but we still had a good round in the greens or in excellent shape
things picked up on the back nine
Shout out to the head starter and Craige in the pro shop
Post rain
Cart path only slow 4:30 round most fairways were OK for 90 degrees carrt
Perfect day for golf
Got paired up with a couple of nice golfer, Lyndsey and Jody. Course was at 90 degree rule except for hole #2 and 10 and of course all the par 3’s. Spring golf is back. Rancho is one of the best courses in the area and u love playing this beautifully maintained course. Definitely will be back for more summer golf!
