Sunken Gardens
Bad experience from the start. Woman in the pro shop charged us incorrectly based on our reservation through GolfNow. She caught her error when we were at #5 and literally came flagging us down in the middle of our round. Never seen anything like this before. Another group nearby were shaking their heads in disbelief. Anyway... course was what you get for public 9 holes. Par 3s are straight and should give you confidence in your game. Greens were a bit tore up as other patrons don’t seem to understand the etiquette of cleaning up after yourself.
Not complete charge
Over experience was nice. I was expecting to play by myself, but was paired with another threesome. I was unaware of this until after the fact that I got there also I was hit with an extra $20 expected at check-in when I got to sunken Gardens. When using the GolfNow application, it should tell you that an extra charge will be expected when you got there before paying for the teatime that you reserved. I’m not gonna lie for a nine hole course $50 is kind of steep. If I was doing 18 then maybe that would be more of a reasonable price. I would recommend somebody here but if you do not want to play with people you do not know and I expect you to come with at least two or three people just so you are not pushed into another group game and would hope to see whatever is expected to pay at the place before setting up my teatime because honestly, that was probably the worst part of it all. Besides that it was a really nice course
Great 9 hole course
Good quiet short courses. No need for driver , practice short game and putting
Favorite Executive Couse In the Area
This is my favorite executive course in the San Jose area. First of all, the range is inexpensive relative to the other ranges I've been to in the area. It's an irons only range, but I don't need to be warming up my driver for an executive course. Mats are in good condition and i havent found many cracked range balls. One minus about the practice facility is that there's no chipping green.
The course is good fun. A good place to learn. Holes 5 and 6 are decently challenging though. It has been raining so some of the the tee boxes you need to hit off mats. With that being said the bunkers are still nice and soft. Greens were in excellent condition. Pace of play can be a bit slow as it seems this couse is popular with the senior crowd.
Great Course for Quick Play
Careful for frost warnings on the course. 7am is too early until the thaw begins by 815.
Try to get out before the regulars or you will have to play extra balls to kill the wait time
Otherwise Sunken Garden is an awesome course for anyone’s game experience
Love This Course
This course is always fun. Just the right amount of challenging. My only complaint would be that it’s popular and the course can get backed up. Otherwise, it’s awesome.
Laid back course but strict rules
Mostly par 3 course, average conditions. Strict rule on having your own clubs and bag even though it's a really short course. They have rentals.
