The course is just average for a $53 round and $8 for a bag of balls. I play a good bit of golf and am a pretty easy going fella, but the experience I had in the pro shop with the attendant was by far the worst ever. For someone working in the customer service arena she was lacking an astounding amount of 'I care about my job and the people playing golf here'. She was rude, disrespectful and not the least bit helpful, almost as if she was trying to be bad at her job. I kept waiting on Ashton Kutcher to jump out from behind the counter because I thought I was being Punk'd. There are too many great golf courses in the area to play this one again. Pass.

It is a challenging course with lots of character. The greens seemed to be much faster than any of the courses I played. Remember to take lots of insect repellent with you because the bugs are relentless and aggressive, my biggest distraction. Otherwise, a wonderful course to play.

This was the last course we played on our vacation and it was worth the wait. The staff in the clubhouse were friendly and helpful. Between the beauty of the course and the challenge of its layout, it is a true gem. The course just gave and gave and gave. I loved it and will play it again in a heartbeat. Paired up with two gentlemen we had never met (Bill and Leland) and had a great time.

I received a call from the golf shop to tell me, the rate I paid online didn't include the cart fee, I only learned this as I was driving to the coarse after booking a last minute tee time. The man I spoke with assured me this was on my reservation and yes it was at the bottom of the ticket. My fault for not reading but I was still not happy and to add to the frustration, the driving range was closed and then I was chased by monster horse flies all 18 holes. Disappointed and I wont return.

I cannot recommend this golf course enough! The value, course conditions, and over tranquility of the northern tip of St Simons Island make this golf course special. The price is very low considering the quality and location- and when you get to play the marsh holes...wow- breathtaking! Enjoy your round at the King & Prince...you won't regret it!- Jason Panuthos

While on vacation to St. Simons Island, my wife and I

had the opportunity to play an extremely enjoyable, yet

challenging, round of golf at the King and Prince Golf

Club. The conditions were absolutely perfect. It was 80 degrees, with a nice breeze to keep you comfortable and the course was amazing. The best part of the course is the back 9 and the greens. The greens are fast and true.

If you're ever on or near St. Simons Island play this course. You won't be disappointed.

I would have imagined this course as the place a King would have entertained and challenged his regal guests during their trips top this secluded island! Fine layout with the back nine more links-like than the traditional front nine. Great greens that were rolling perfectly and quite true. Fairways were challenging . Staff were very helpful.

This course is the best of the two public courses on St. Simons Island. Green speeds were better than Sea Palms and the course had more undulations and the course was more challenging. Price was fantastic as a first off in the morning hot deal. Unless it's Friday, then GolfNow charges almost triple the other days rates, including Saturday. Try Heritage Oaks on Friday.

Greens were good, some holes it helped to have a local partner in the foursome. Some holes played over marshes and position in fairway needed to get to green not always easy to see. I enjoyed course conditions and would play again.

Played K & P for the first time 2 weeks ago and could not wait to go back. This is a great golf course that requires you to use every club in the bag. Each hole is unique and well designed. Some beautiful low country scenery as well. Variety of tees make the course playable for all levels. I can't say enough about it. Its a 1:30 drive from Jacksonville for me but it is worth it. Can't wait to play again. If I lived closer, would seriously consider a membership.

The course has a really nice layout. But if you are used to playing white tees, be sure to ask the staff about the tee boxes. They use a combo formula for 'average' tees where you play some holes white, and some holes blue. We only played the whites and realized it should have been the combo or blue. But otherwise it was a nice course, good layout, greens rolled great and held shots.

I was surprised when I arrived for my early tee time that the only staff member there was the starter. No one to help with bag or point out the direction of the clubhouse. No one in the clubhouse to check me in. The starter was helpful in giving me a bottle of bug spray but even with using a whole can of bug spray I got eaten alive.

My wife and I decided to try a round at the King & Prince Resort on St. Simons Island on a Tuesday afternoon while vacationing there. It's at the North end of he island located in a resort and upscale development of homes that surround the property. The clubhouse is located by a lake on the interior of the property that is picturesque (both holes 9 and 10 play across portions of the lake) and staff is friendly and helpful. The practice range, putting green and chipping area are all adjacent to the clubhouse and hole #1. We had reserved a 3:12pm tee time at $45 rate (including cart) but got there early to look around. As it wasn't crowded at all, the staff allowed us to go off early (1:45) without charging the difference that the earlier time would have cost had we booked it originally. The course was in near perfect condition. The fairways are ample and very well maintained and the greens were in near perfect shape- moderate speed and not overly firm. Fairway bunkers are strategically located and trouble awaits if you miss fairways or greens. There are pretty long distances between some of the greens and next tees, so walking is not an option. Mid week afternoon starting time was a good choice- we saw only one other twosome when we played and they never held us up- we played 18 in 3-1/2 hours even with teeing from different tees, the long cart drives between some holes, taking extra time to putt a second or third time after completing a hole (there was no one behind us) and searching for the two balls that we lost. The views from much of the course are of giant moss oaks and beautiful marshland and the breezes off the water and low humidity in early Spring kept us cool and most of the bugs down. The drive over a series of wooden bridges for Holes #13, 14 & 15, which are on a peninsula surrounded by low country marshland, is memorable. They are among the most beautiful three holes I have ever played- the vistas are so nice you just want to stop and take a picture. But bring a few extra golf balls as these and other holes are surrounded or bordered by marshland. And buy some bug repellant at the pro shop before you tee off! Bottom line.....you should make time to play this low country gem if you visit the Golden Isles!
