Rough fairways and greens
Cart was dirty and the seat was ripped.
Fairways and greens seemed to be well groomed but there were lots of patches of bare sand on both (every hole). I'm hoping the staff turns this around because I really enjoy playing here.
Little repairs needed
I understand with the weather that we have had but some fairways are bare and putting greens need airaided and sanding.
Nice Day
We usually don’t play golf on a Saturday due to overall busy courses. Quail Dunes had some midday openings so we played here. Grass was lush, a bit longer than normal here. As in other reviews, some large fairway bare patches on certain holes - winter must have been rough. Staff always very friendly; good value on pricing. Saw one turkey feeding on the course.
Quail dunes
The course is improving every day. The always terrific staff did not dissappoint
Course need some work
The course was in rough shape, a lot of bare spots, even on the green.
The cart path was unders construction which we knew to begin with.
Staff was great.
Nice course
The course was in fairly decent condition for the time of year. I always have a good time playing Quail Dunes.
Good Roll
Course was very dry although there were still small spots of snow in the shady areas. Greens were quite hard so no ball marks were made. Fairways were very firm so ball roll out was outstanding. Basically, Quail Dunes is still in winter mode, with no irrigation yet. All that said, the course is still very fun to play. It is a more relaxed environment there with no real starter and no marshals, yet the pace of play is good. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, and price/value is outstanding, especially with Hot Deals. It was cart path only due to dryness which added a good physical workout. Would recommend and we will be back often.
Good Course, Great People
I make the hour trek out to Quail Dunes 6-10 times a year, I love it! The course is fun, the people are always glad to see me, they are kind and casual. Thank you Quail Dunes Staff, your great!
Had to get out of Denver
I live in Downtown Denver and am thrilled with my overall experience. The drive on a late Sunday morning was 75-80 minutes and my destinationwas worth it. The course is very straight with 3-4 holes that have dog legs. Lots of cuttable corners for longer hitters and not to far for shorter hitters. The property uses its hills very well and doesn't feel unnecessarily challenging. Very affordable which was my main reason for choosing this course. Next time I come here it will be to play a very fun course. I shot 81 w/ 3 3 putts and 4 drops.
Great Course!
It's cold out in December. Was a nicer day though and got 18 in. Considering the time of year the course was in great shape. About 6 greens shut down so prepare for make shift fairway greens. Fairways are fast and helping with longer drives. Ball marks are very shallow so fix ball marks gently.
Great course!
No sandtraps but challenging rough and natural areas. Few greens really require good placement to score. Course always has a fast pace which i love. They are clearing out the Pro Shop for all new stuff and the Kitchen is under new management and running great! Larger practice green for putting and nice Range. Overall, it's a gem hidden on the prairie.
