NeedsSeior Tees different from White Tees.
It was very windy with gust up to 20 mph but only a couple of pars.
Great course
I know the course year around. It is the time of the year when it is hard to keep the grass at its good condition. The greens had some weeds and the surface was not at the best condition. For the recreational player like myself, the course was playable and good enough to have a relaxing few hours.
So poorly managed you can’t even play your round
Twice in the last three months I’ve shown up to the course to play my booked tee time only to get rushed, hassled, and heckled by a large group taking part in some variety of event. The course sells tee times but also host school tryouts or tournaments. The staff does not disclose the event details when you make the tee time They start you on a random hole, the Marshall follows you around rushing your every shot while the event goers heckle you and hit balls into your group. Completely unplayable round of golf.
Fine for the price, but don’t expect any service
The staff doesn’t open until after 8 even when their posted hours say they open at 7:30. They even show up to work after scheduled tee times, and their voicemail has been full for some time. Greens are in awful shape, and they filled in every single sand trap. The course layout is actually quite good and there are some truly challenging spots. If you miss the first green to the left, good luck getting it up that hill
Overall it is an okay course, but it isn’t really worth the money anymore. When the staff cared a little bit, it was worth it. But we will be going to other courses for the same money but better everything
The hills gave a good surprise
Course was challenging for a beginner like me, but still great for an advances golfer. I will return
Good for a quick nine holes of golf
When I don't have much time, I think of playing this 9 hole course. It's a hilly, little thing, which makes it challenging. All of the pin placements were on a slope today. Some of the greens were a little barren. Overall, I would say this course has great potential if it could get a little more TLC.
Best 9-Hole Value
The course conditions were very good. In fact some of the fairways looked like some of the more expensive golf courses. The greens were in good shape, not super fast, but fast enought to putt decently.
Overall, we had a good experience and for the price on golfnow $12 per person, I have no complaints.
Kudos to the ground crew.
Marshall ruined our day
Our family has gone to golf courses all over the world for many years now. This was the only course that we got harassed by the Marshall to “pick up the pace” our family had four golfers, two carts. The Marshall was expecting us to play within 15 minutes… that’s almost 4 minutes for each person… my father is a veteran and loves to golf, being rushed and harassed by the Marshall while we were letting single golfers go ahead of us was unnecessary.
Pleasantly Surprised
Made a last minute tee time reservation because most other courses were booked. The staff was friendly and the course was in good shape and longer than I expected. I’ll definitely be back.
First time visitor
This place is a gem!
First off, paying $18 is a steal. The course conditions were fine. There were a couple greens that could be better, but hey… you get what you pay for..
The course is wide open so even if you tend to shank a few during a round, you’ll be able to fine them. Definitely some challenging shots as well.
Pace of play was great, never had to wait all day..
Overall it was a steal of a deal. Will definitely play here again.
Very nice course
I must say this is a good course. 2nd time playing here and I will come back. Greens were ok. Fairways were the same. Customer service is top notch and that will always bring me back. Pace of play was great for a Saturday morning 9holes round.
Grass!
It may sound funny, but I'm always impressed when a local muni figures out how to grow grass. Tip of the hat to the grounds crew at College Park. The fairways were solid, sometimes plush. Greens were very good (repair work on #2 underway). This is the kind of course that should be in every community: not too hard, blue collar vibe, good practice facility, and leaves you feeling like golf is truly a sport for everyone.
