bad greens
Course layout is nice but green conditions are bad. Pace of play is slow. Starter sent me off back 9 as i was a single and moved right around only to find 20 players lined up on one. I was offered to play out on Oleander but after 13 holes came to a stop ( got some extra golf but was not my goal). So i headed back over to finish my round on Indian. After 6 holes guess who? the large group i found on one.
Our home course away from home
We played this course two consecutive days with similar conditions each day. Truly enjoyable and the second day, the wildlife were abundant throughout the 18 holes. The one thing that didn’t change from day to day (besides my scores) was the slow pace of play even though we doubled up with a couple with a tee time behind us to cut down their waiting. Each day, the foursomes ahead of us were slow to move off the greens.
All of the courses at Jekyll Island are under reconfiguration and I expect will be much better in the future.
Great course for the money
Friendly staff, great pace- felt like I had the whole place to myself. Lots of construction on adjacent course but not distracting. Would definitely play again. Only saw 1 gator.
Solid track
Great time here. Construction on the new course, Pine lake I think, was the only bummer. Took some of the scenery away. Other than that it was great time and everyone not only staff were super nice.
Playing golf
Course was in pretty good shape. A little wet. All in all it was a nice day.
Staring times to fast in a row
The course is very nice and is in a good condition.
The staff is very nice! After the game there is a wonderful restaurant!
But the problem is that the saying times are every eight minutes which is way to fast, 10 would be better. We had to wait at very hole for an average of 4-7 Minutes! You don’t get in to playing and cool down every hole and that’s very bad!
Course is not maintained hundreds of armadillo holes my wife almost broke her ankle greens had weeds.in them
OK course
Wasn't in the greatest shape or as nice looking as 2 other courses we played on St. Simons. Definitely saw the most wildlife here, as opposed to the other 2, including a number of alligators, deer & numerous bird species. I'd go back, but it could use some TLC.
