Great course
This course is an excellent value for the money. The driving range is pretty much mats only, but it gives you a chance to stretch and get ready to play. I have been playing here weekly for about 4 years and have never had a bed experience, Sure, sometimes the club house guys, or maybe the starter is a bit under the weather, but don't we all have a less than great day? It isn't Atlanta Athletic,. St. Marlos or Bears Best, but dang.... you can get on for $14.00 and play 18 holes of pretty decent golf. People who want to play for $20.00 then complain because the club isn't spending $20,000 a month on upkeep annoy the fool out of me. Pay your small fee and get out and have fun. Before you complain about blind shots...ask for the course layout booklet. It is a fun little course at pretty good rates,,,Don't blame the course if you had a bad day. If you are like me, a man on a fixed recreational budget, pay your lower rates so you cone more often and be thankful you are able to do it.
Sugar Hill? - Go Anywhere Else
Over the years, I’ve continued to give this course a chance everything 3-4 years. Nothing will ever change the location. However, it’s just a bad course location. Nothing but hills. Everything is either up or down. Nothing flat. Plus, so many fairways cart path only. Why? Hadn’t rained in several days. Over the top. The gps would tell you once you entered a restricted zone. Some signage yet limited placement. Most cart path restriction experience when hadn’t rained in several days. And, starter was simply disrespectful and rude. Completely uncalled for situation.
My friend had never played and, after playing, will never play again. He’s a pretty decent golfer!
Great value
Other than the 9th hole a well designed and great value course.
The road had more grass on it than the fairways
The greens were in decent shape but the rest of the course was harder than the paved road you drove up on. The staff was not very friendly but not overly rude. Bunkers all play as GIR which tells you their condition. Hope 2 for instance had 4 different roped off areas down the fairway. If you needed to lay up there was nowhere to hit it.
Par 3s were fairly nice I must say and even though hole 9 is quirky I liked that hole.
Suwanee golf course
First time, Staff friendly and golf course is fun to play.will be returning. Location is also convenient.
Sugar Hill
The course is in bad condition. The staff (except for the teaching Pro) was not friendly.
Nice course, rolling hills, and challenging shot making
I like this course but it has a lot of challenging shots so it can get a bit slow to play as the day goes on.
It is winter right now, so the fairways are a bit thin, some tee boxes are rough, but the greens are in great shape. I played a high end course last week and it was the same.
Your game will definitely be challenged as there are a good many tee shots where you have to hit to a landing area that is not huge. I don't usually hit my driver until the 6th hole.
It is a fun course.
Not going back
Pace of play was absolutely awful. Took 3 hours just to play the front 9, so I left after that. Absolutely hated the course layout as well
