Good condition
In the past the staff were very difficult to deal with. From the desk clerk to the marshalls. For this reason, I had been playing other courses. With this visit, the staff had an attitude change for the good which would make me want to come back on a regular basis again.
Out in no where land!
This course is out in the woodlands of Georgia. It’s just on the other side of a State Park. Beautiful settings amongst the Georgia Pines. Very quiet and quaint. Enjoyed playing there!
Good as always
This course is very nice. Some greens don't look good but they all putt very good. Always enjoyable to play.
Great Course In Recovery
This is one of my favorite local courses due to the facilities, layout and conditions. Right now they are recovering from some excess rain which has caused some issues with the greens. They putted reasonably well, but there is water damaged on virtually every green. Expect the course to be in tip top shape in a month or so. And again when it is in top shape it is one of the best course in the Northern Florida/Southern Georgia region.
Awesome Value
Great course in excellent shape given the time of year. Very friendly staff. It checks all the boxes and an awesome value
Nice course layout
Greens need some tending to
Lots of poanna starting to take over
Not one ball washer on whole course
Should have them on each cart
Fairways Ian’s bunkers in good shape
Great course
The greens are very nice and run fast, cart path is nice and not too bumpy. New carts are nice and gps helps a lot with yardage
Worth The Drive
For anyone in north Florida this course is more than worth the drive. As its layout and conditions rival the best public, semi-private and resort courses in north Florida with the exception of TPC. I have played the higher rated courses in north Florida and this course surpasses them in every regard. And when you consider the Hot Deal rate there is simply no comparison. I hope that too many of you don't decide to make the trip as I do enjoy playing when there are only 6 other groups on the course.
Greens conditions
The course was in good shape, but the greens have poa annua very bad. I live in the area and I was there when they built the course . Whole number 16 has been ruined because they failed to open the drain up. The design of that hole is to have a fairway on the right hand side but there is a huge mud hole about 100 feet long and about 75 feet wide that holds water all the time. But the rest of the courses in great shape.
Worth the drive
I spend the month of February in St. Simons and make it a point to play ths course even though it takes about an hour to get there.. The course gets better every year and it is currently in excellent shape. The greens are extremely fast due to the grass being dormant. I highly recommend this course.
Great Layout
The course has a great layout and has some very challenging holes but fair. We played during the winter and fairways were dormient. But greens were in good shape.
