Not much change since the last time I played here
First of all, I have to say that I've never been a fan of this course in that in my opinion, the upkeep of some parts are fair at best. That led me to steer clear of playing here in the past but since this course was supposedly taken over by a new owner, I figured we'd give it a shot again. I'm sad to say that there hasn't been much improvement!
First of all, let me say that over all, the greens were in good shape and were pretty darn quick. A couple of them were a little patchy, but for the most part, very good in that category. Where this course fails in my opinion is that the fairways were rock hard in some areas with very sparse grass. The other thing that bugged me was the condition of the sand traps. Very thin layer of sand that made bunker play a guessing game as to how to approach the shot. Nothing worse than to play a standard bunker shot only to find out that you're hitting off a half inch of sand and solid red dirt beneath it.
ho hum course
hold your nose when using restrooms! One stall plugged up toilet and one on course restroom no water - sink faucet broken. Starter not very welcoming. Like most courses in Hawaii if you are not local add 100$ to the price of the round. We got a hot deal discount but only one time available. Greens and fairways in poor shape. Layout uninspired.
Runner Hop
Our round started with the friendliness of Lillian at the pro shop. She was warm and welcoming. Love this course as the pace of play was fabulous along with the course conditions. Payed more than I like to, but getting a golf deal was helpful.
Good experience
Enjoyed the day at Mililani. Check in no problem, booked with GN. Friendly helpful starter. Course was a little chewed up due to recent downpour. Greens were in good shape. Great after round drinks and food in the restaurant. We also got food to go.
Great Day at Mililani
The course was fun, challenging. They need to fix the sand in the bunkers but besides that the course was in good shape.
Milliani
Friendly staff. Fun layout and greens were in good shape. Bunkers inconsistant, some with sand and some like cement. but other than that I felt Milliani is a good value for visitors. Luckly, very little wind had a great tine. I will return.
