Good Day
Enjoyed the round, got a great deal, greens hard and fast, the way I like them, only problem is course really not designed for the green hardness traps front and back, hit the green with great shots and ended up in the back traps
Eagle Point Golf Great Experience
If you have not played this course, you are missing a great experience. You can play from fair to difficult tees. Greens marvelous, Bar and Grill marvelous. Have playing this course for many years, always great!
Good layout, demands accuracy
Hilly layout with a lot of doglegs. Challenging requiring rives to be accurate to approach the greens. Course was in good shape but course needs to be weeded and edges of bunkers trimmed to be a really pretty course.
Course is challenging
Excellent fairways and greens. Rough was a little high and thick. Facility excellent
super sweet
The course was super nice seemed wellkept. I really like the ddifference in the fsirways and rough. Stsff was hekpful club house wqs excellen.
Great Course for the money
Got a hot deal to play the course for about $19 a person with cart which was an amazing deal for the quality of the course. Had some great challeging holes and nice senery but there was some construction in the course still waiting to be completed
Mow!
I've played this course a few times over the years and always enjoyed the conditioning. Yesterday the fairways were nice plus the tee boxes and the greens were slick but the rough was out of control. We lost several balls in the rough including a couple just two feet off the fairway.
The par 3's are a brutish, except one, and the par 5's are reachable in two, except one.
Fun course in great condition at the moment.
The weather was incredible which may have helped, but overall, great course to play in Bloomington area.
3/30/2014
Date and cheap price expected course to be in rough shape. What a surprise, greens cut, bunkers had been turned, fairways in good shape. Staff I give A+ could not of been any more polite. Played bad but not due to course.
Ths was a great deal for 9 dollars.
Sand traps and the rough of some fairways needed the leaves blown away.
Greens are true
Leaves have been removes. Great greens for putting.
Fun golf course
The course was in good shape, much better than last time played a few years ago. The greens were chewed up a bit, but still rolled very well. Heavy play this day, but still finished in less than four hours. Good experience overall.
Focus, focus, focus.
Eagle Pointe is a challenging course from tee to green. Straight drives are a must. The hilly terrain offers few perfect lies. However, the greens are excellent, and I will play there again. If you want to see what kind of golfer you really are, this course is a bargain. If you can't stand pain or pressure, find another course.
great course layout
I think the greens could use some conditioning but overall a nice corse
If you like crabgrass.....
If you like crabgrass, you will love this course. Granted it is late August, but the course was in poor shape. You have to hit off of dirt, rocks, or anything else that is there. Obviously a nice course in its day, but the overall condition is about like playing in a cow pasture.
very nice course
This is a nice challenging course. Plays long from the whites, blues, or blacks. Lots of interesting holes. One of the nicer courses in the area. Could be the best in the area if some of the details were attended to better.
Much improved
I've played Eagle Pointe many times over the years. Let's just say both management and the course have had its ups and downs. Fortunately, it appears that they are back on the upswing. The course is in great shape and the person/people running it seem to know what they're doing.
Greens and fairways are hard as a rock and need work.
Greens are hard as a rock. Can't stick the ball at all, even with a brand new Cleveland 60 degree and ProV1 ball. Many brown patches and bare spots on greens. Fairways are also hard as a rock. Impossible to divot off the fairways. It's easier to hit out of the rough. Tee boxes are good and sand is well maintained. Fairways need to be watered much more and the greens are awful. However, for the $10 golfnow price I didn't expect much. However, the course normal fee is $40ish and I would never pay that for the horrible condition the courses are in.
great value for the money
you will enjoy this course, and find it well maintained
