Friendly and
For some strange reason I keep coming back to play Renwood with friends and we've always had a great time playing and want to come back. I believe it all starts with the friendliness and accommodations of the staff that makes it inviting. We plan to schedule more play time until weather tells us otherwise. Go check it out, it will worth you every $$$. Cheers!
I enjoyed playing this course, wish it didn’t rain before, still was great to play, like to play there again when it’s not wet. Challenging enough for me.
Pleasant Surprise Awaits You.
Having played Renwood for the 3rd time this very short season is an indication that it is worth every penny . It challenges and also provide a round of fun with friends or family. Go check it out and you'll see and experience what I just told. Now GO PLAY!
course needs a ranger
course needs a ranger to speed up play there should be a ranger out there to make sure players are keeping up at the pace that they should to make the round enjoyable they tell you people are on Pace when they don't even have a starter if there are no one playing for holes in front of them big gaps THEY ARE PLAYING TO SLOW AND BACK UPS BEHIND THEM make it fun for all
Needs a ranger
course needs a ranger especially on the weekends For the Weekend Warriors we caught two guys thought they'd let usplay through and we're waiting to instead they hit about 3/4 balls off the tee all of them in the woods then they were looking for ever for their balls they parked their cartalmost on the green at every hole fyi do not be like these guys park your cart as close to the next whole as possible to keep speed going a play so the guys behind you don't have to wait every time for you to go to it and drive across on the last hole they park the cart in the Tee Box I think they thought they've been doing what they wanted on the on the other holes Why Stop Now NO golf etiquette bu t it's the Rangers job to keep people like this in line and playing at the speed or allow people to play through they were about three holes with nobody in front of them never saw a ranger I don't believe the course has one
Solid park district course
$45 for two guys and cart. Great deal. Front nine is pretty basic, but back nine is a lot more fun. Course is in great shape.
We had a slow group in front of us and still finished our foursome in 3.5.
Great day on the course
Beautiful day front nine open alittle water better straight forward back nine has more water some doglegs
Nice short course
We moved to Grayslake late last year, so I'm just discovering courses in this area and this is the first time I played Renwood after hearing about it from some other players earlier this year. It was friggin' hot, so I only wanted to play 9 holes and this is about the only course close by where I could reserve 9 holes someplace that wasn't an executive/par-3 course. Granted, the course is not long but I felt it was in pretty good shape and I played in just under 2 hours on the Sunday mid-morning of a holiday weekend; which was a pleasant surprise. Pace was good. Greens and tees were in good shape. Some of the fairways had what looked like floodoing or water damage from earlier in the year, but was being addressed.
Great staff and price
Nice course easy front nine harder Back Nine I like the box to hold the broken tees by tee box very good covid protection large plexiglass up and do not give you any paperwork the only thing I recommend is not to combine the white and blue tee boxes I play the whites and my son plays the blues it is more enjoyable when they are separate and further back it's not very long so make it harder for those who want to play the blues
Nice course nice staff
Courses very unique front plays a lot easier than the back
Great course for a great price
I have found this course to be crowded so play often slows down. Also there are a lot of areas around the course that retain water after rainy weather making for some wet spots. Overall the course is still maintained and for $15-$18 walking 18 holes it’s a fantastic course with great value for your money.
Solid Casual Course
This is a solid park's type course. It's cheap, but well maintained. The only thing I can't comment on is the clubhouse since it was closed off due to covid-19, but the course itself was in good shape. The ruff was thick, but the fairways and greens were in good condition. I also walked it, so no comment on pull carts or golf carts as well. I recommend it for the price point, and if you want a solid 18 holes of golf. Finally, the front 9 is easier while the back 9 is more challenging.
