Great Value
Back is more challenging than the front but this is a very nicely managed golf course. Staff are efficient and friendly. Carts were clean and sanitized. Felt very comfortable going back there a second time to play.
Stay focussed
This is the course I learned to play on, and have continued to play since 1967 . I've witnessed the course transformation from a "country course" to a true test and challenge. The postage stamp greens and the subtle twists and turns, together with yje varyied topography of the fairways, more than make up for the lack of length. The course has some straight forward holes, but is always followed up with significant challenges. It's the perceived lack of difficulty that actually makes the course so challenging. The front nine is relatively benign with little to no grade relief, but requiring you to move the ball in order to score well. The homeland nine provides numerous grade changes to elevated greens, which requires you play nearly every club in your bag. I play this course 20 times a year, sometimes 36/day, when I'm in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to make sure your experience is a good one. Great Time, course and atmosphere.
This is a semi private course?
This course is open to the public but Is mostly for members. After golfing there yesterday, I don't know why anyone would want to pay to golf there. Some of my fairway shots would be like hitting off of hard dirt and the "rough" would be essentially non existent grass that turned into hard dirt. Round went fast but that's only because I wanted to get out of there so I didn't break my clubs. Will never go back.
Best greens in the county
I play this course often. Greens are small but very nice, fast and somewhat tricky. The front nine is flat with many trees and undulating greens, the back nine has many hilly stances but the greens are flatter. The course will test your skills.
