Par 3, #6 East Course Photo submitted by graywolf65 on 06/21/2013
I have played the course on a regular basis because it is always in prestine condition and the staff is always friendly and kind
Quail is a great place to play simply because the condition of the course is always in great shape and its a very good layout and is great for players of all different skill levels. It is a great place to practice. they offer a very nice driving range along with a great chipping green with a sand trap to practice your sand game. They also have a seperate putting green. Not to mention the staff has always been kind and made my experience very enjoyable. i would definately suggest playing here if your just in town visiting looking for a nice place to play or if you live in the area and you are looking for a place to play regularly. all around great atmosphere and friendly staff definately makes it a place i will play any chance i get.
Great Course to hit the links with Friends!!
Quail Chase is a beautiful but challenging 27 hole golf course. When I get to play Quail Chase is one of my first options .
The East is a very difficult 9 holes with many different elevation changes and water features. The South and West courses are not as difficult with amore openness but still challenging.
good golf course
Great golf course in Louisville and for the 20 minute drive and the 35 dollar fee with range balls was nice. Had a lot of fun playing with a member there and will definitely play here again.
Great and friendly staff fun course to play!
3 nines allow for different looks! East by far most challenging. Greens are nice but slow, fairways are coming in nicely. Very good practice area. Tree lined and hills makes for great views and tough holes.
Great course, loved the east nine. Staff and pro shop were outstanding
located 10 minutes from my home Qual Chase is a great place to play. Outstanding practice facility, pro shop and snack bar. three nines were also a plus.
good course fairways getting better
Like the course has taken the fairways a while to come in they were really spotty! They are looking better! Hate how they make you stay on the path if it sprinkles!
This course offers every golf experience.
The 27 holes at Quail Chase combine to give you a "new" game every time you play. The East is the most challenging -- especially # 1 -- and plays through hilly, forested terrain. The West feels like a park course, a little more open, but with interesting elevations and great risk/reward holes. The South plays like a links course and encourages you to pull out the driver and go for it. So it never feels the same, always a little different, depending on which 18 holes you take on. Greens roll true and smooth, bermuda fairways are at their best in the summer. The scenic vistas on this course are spectacular. Pace of play is typically very comfortable, waiting is rare.
Fun course
The course had some fun holes. Overall it was in decent shape.
Good local track
Quail Chase is good for a public course that receives ALOT of play. Tee boxes a bit un level. Fairways good, bare in a few spots. Greens roll pretty true, not overwhelmingly quick. 3 nines makes it accommodating for 200+ players. Suggest playing it early morning or late afternoon(if you can stand the heat). East/south are the best layouts IMO. Need to hit it real straight off most tees, 300+ drives usually can get you in trouble, so I play 3 wood off most par 4's.
Fun but challenging.
Course is in good overall shape. Fairways need some work but youcouldn't ask for better greens. Nice course for the money.
Pack a lunch
Conditions are decent, and at great value at $20 bucks after 5. But the course was an absolute log jam. I spent more time waiting in tee box than actually playing.
27 Holes with good variety
The set up of Quail Chase is pretty unique with its 3 sets of 9 hole courses.. We played the East/South Rotation and was a nice change from the difficult East course going to the South. Fairways looked like they were still recovering from last year's drought, but the greens were pristine. Overall. Quail Chase was a fun, yet challenging course for an average golfer.
Nice Shape
Course was in nice shape although they didn't let carts off of the paths. The fairways were not fully grown but the greens were nice and fast.
sparse fairways and tees
only played nine holes on the east course. Fairways and tees were in poor conditions. Greens were in great condition. Also, many blind shots.
Wet day
Dry day RAINED DURING THE WEEKEND. Played on Tuesday. Course holds water, areas were block off from playing. Very Challenging. Great time.
I play there a lot
I play Quail Chase at least twice a month. This deal was too good to pass up. The staff was super friendly and the course was practically wide open. I look forward to getting back out there in the near future.
For $20/ this was a great deal. Quail is usually expensive.
Greens were in good shape and rolled true for this time of year. Fairways are still brown. Some challenging holes and some gimmes. Overall a good place to play when you can get a deal.
Always a good weekday round
Quail Chase gets a bit crowded on the weekends, even with 27 holes, but for $15-$25 during the week you get a quality round of golf.
3 nines and fun to play
Quail is always challenging and fun to play. Sometimes crowded and slow to play but still recommended.
