Great course...
One of my favorite courses. Always in good condition. Its a challenging, yet playable course. I play from the blue tees and find that's its a fair test of golf. Several of the par 5's are reachable in 2 with good tee shots. One of the things I like about this course is that you can't see any other holes from the hole you're on.
prairie grass and rolling greens
Overall this course was well maintained, but for the average golfer the dynamic greens and over abundance of prairie grass irreparably damaged the experience. I would require additional practice and patience before attempting this course again.
Scenic and challenging!
Course in great shape and a pleasure to play. Staff friendly and accommodating. The tranquility and layout of course makes it a fun round.
Very nice course
The only problem with this course was the sand traps. One of them was not even filled with sand and the others were in pretty rough shape-not quite up to par as yet. Other than that the rest of the course was absolutely beautiful and presented a nice challenge. Greens were large and pin placements were tough on some holes but fair.
Coarse is in great condition
Played on a Monday afternoon at 1:30, staff told us there was a high school golf team walking in front of us and they'd let us play through, got to 2nd hole, two foursomes backed up on tee, did not let us play through, skipped ahead to next hole and ran into same ordeal. Called club house and they told us we could start over. On back nine ran into the same thing and staff would not do anything but say 'they should let you play through' but they never would. When paying $40 a round I'd like to think we had higher priority than a job high school golf team practicing....
Nice first round out
Conditions coming together for a nice first round out. Not a lot of folks on the course so took our time. Greens slow due to aeration but are looking good for the spring. Cart paths need some attention but I think the course will be fantastic in 2 or 3 weeks.
For December, course was in very good condition. Woman friendly course
For December, this course was in very good condition. great value for the price using GolfNow! This is also what i consider woman friendly course as the par 4 and 5 holes are reachable in regulation, although i do wish that a couple of the par 3's were actually a little longer. Greens were in excellent condition also.
Good Course - Carts on Path Only
The one drawback to this course and the day's play was the "carts on path only" rule. This was my second outing at Falcon Ridge - although my first time scheduling through GolfNow. Both times, the cart path rules were the same. This said, if golfing alone, or in a small group, the only difference between walking the course and carting would be the differential of effort between holes.
The course itself is challenging - although not so much that a beginning golfer cannot enjoy the outing. I played from the white tees and found the course to provide an ample level of challenge for my skill level (beginner). Although I did not finish this round completely, if I would have played "statistically the same" for the last three holes, I would have finished with a 110. As I did not lose any balls on the course in hazards or severely overgrown rough, I considered the day's outing successful.
As it is nearing the end of the season, the course could use some TLC in some areas (fairway divots); however, it is well maintained. I started the outing with a bucket of range balls and started course play at about 15:00 (too dark to play further at about 18:00). The staff at the course was very friendly and encouraged me to start on the course as soon as possible to maximize daylight (ahead of the scheduled tee time).
Overall, this course is becoming one of my preferred golf courses in the area.
Fairways nice, mowed, leaves off fairway and roughs; greens were excellent and fast!
Overall we were very pleased-we had a foursome in front of us which slowed us but it was beautiful day and the course was excellent;
Beautiful Course
Played Falcon Ridge on the first day of cart path only due to time of season (fall). Absolutely beautiful course, very challenging. Thank goodness for the Golf Now rate, otherwise I might not have gotten the chance toplay it. I woulodhighly reccomend this Falcon Ridge, can't wait til Spring to get back out there
nice design challenging golf course
Every time a pleasure to play this golf course - the greens are fast and soft as they have to be -
A great track. I would play it again in a heartbeat.
A great course and enough tee boxes to make it challenging. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were in great shape considering the summer we had. A couple of holes were cart path only and the course does not offer a handi-cap flag for those of us with disabilities. I was given the OK to get off the path on those holes but they were roped off which made it almost impossible. An overall delightful experience and using Golfnow made it very simple.
Friendly staff, interesting layout.
We played right after one of the few rain storms this summer. We could tell the drought had affected conditions, but, considering the drought, the course was in good shape overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
