It was worth the drive
Played at Winter Run today as one of my benefits from Victory Golf Pass. Drove about 70 miles from Philly to play. The check in was pretty well organized Tee times ran as scheduled. It's golf in the times of COVID-19 so there were some adjustments. People were cordial. Conditions and weather were really nice. Many of the courses are getting dry but the fairways and greens were very playable. Loved the sand in the bunkers! Don't know what they call that consistency but it was great to be able to control the ball around greens. 5 sets of tees; I played from about 6200. Odd V shaped range such that you hit down either leg but not right up the middle as that wound up in the woods. Solid design requiring some length, the ability to play left to right and right to left. Nice elevation changes! Best hole without a doubt was 17, an excellent short par 5. I played driver, 8 iron and 9 iron but there must be dozens of ways to get home so long as you play intelligently.
First time here
The course was in very nice condition. Very few challenging holes. The pro shop staff was friendly. The staff at the bar, not so much. It only changed when she found out we weren’t members. Would golf at again.
